Left-wing activist propaganda. Forty years ago there were about 5,000 Polar Bears in alaska and Canada. Now, as the temperature has increased less then a degree in that time, we have about 25,000 Polar Bears. Tell me, how did the Polar Bears survive the Roman Warm Period, and the Medieval Warm Period?? How about the Eemian Interglacial 125,000 years ago when the Earth was about 5 - 8 degrees warmer. How did they survive?? I smell a Socialist Activist Political $cam.
The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service estimates that the polar bear population is currently at 20,000 to 25,000 bears, up from as low as 5,000-10,000 bears in the 1950s and 1960s. A 2002 U.S. Geological Survey of wildlife in the Arctic Refuge Coastal Plain noted that the polar bear populations may now be near historic highs.
There is NOTHING wrong with doing things to have a cleaner environment. I'm all for conservationism.
There is NOTHING that "reducing" man-produced CO2 will do to impact the greenhouse effect whatsoever, let alone enough to change the climate.
And in case you are wondering, those working towards that crazy CO2 & "Carbon Cap & Trade" scheme are NOT doing so for a "cleaner environment." It's more about corporation money interests and government subsidies.
Now, if we could just find a way to actually WARM the planet, that would be awsome. Too bad there is NOTHING large enough man can do to emit enough CO2, since thats just like 1% of greenhouse effect...and all we emit just gets absorbed into the oceans or used by plants...

Canada and Russia has some of the worlds best farmland. A longer warmer growing season would go a long way feeding the world.
