@moronslave I'm afraid there is no proper way to approach bass..;) the most important thing is not to put boundaries and sticking to the tradition in the way of playing it, but as music making tool.. this is how alot of people break the mindset of 'whats right' and what's wrong' because at the end of the day it's not about those, but about we feel when we listen to music.. I'm yet to write something about this and publish it on the web, in the meantime add me on facebook!

WOOT that was fkin amazing lol. Would you reccomend this interface? i had the audio kontrol one but it used to clip out ALOT so i got rid, but am needing a new interface for guitar, theres so many out there lol

@lantyboy696 What I like about this interface is that it has the mic/inst button which probably something like +20db boost on mic, and even with that, the input is actually a little bit too low if you have the volume at 12'.

@147147Nick apparently latency is very small in this one, i don't remember the exact number for it, but it's very good. Regarding the video, the camera is just kinda slow, I'm using camera from 2010 3.2ghz 4GB RAM 1TB HDD iMac.

Forgive me, but, what is a preamp? Also, I love the vid. Bass sounds good. What is the best way to learn to play bass? I am somewhat familiar with guitar.

@sk6mix don't feel bad. Preamp is like an equalizer, so your sound is processed before it goes to the amplifier (hence pre-amplifier) regarding the best way to learn to play bass, is just to make sure you have humble heart & be open to learn anything.. and most importantly, have fun ;)

@terrykumar Ok, thank you for the info. One more thing.  Is it okay to plug a guitar, in this case, a bass guitar, directly into my sound card, or is it necessary to have a preamp. I plan on using headphones to monitor my sound because I am unable to play loud music in my home.

@sk6mix That is fine. You can always buy those decent soundcards for $100 or so.. :)

@terrykumar a preamp isnt like an equalizer at all. its a preamp because it "pre-amplifies" a signal. they are there mainly for mics because mics give off a very week signal so they need to be amplified, but they can be used for anything. The mic inputs on the sound card are also preamps, but the external one is better quality and gives the sound a better, well, sound.
