Top video man, im up and down the the ring rd from campbellfield to ballarat twice a day and the amount of stupid dangerous things i see people do is incredable, funny though how many times you stick to your lane and some boy racer in a commodore with a chev badge on it trys to make there own lane, then only ends up 2 cars ahead of you for the next 15 minutes hahahah
Victorian road rules (no strict requirement to keep left on multi lane roads, trucks allowed on any lane on multi lane roads, truck speed limit is same as cars) and road infrastructure (for some reason when road is getting narrower here left lane is removed, instead of the right one - this encourages drivers not to drive on first lane) create a lot of issues.
p.s. my opinion is strongly influenced by 20 years of driving in Europe.

It's so worrying how many people don't take the manoeuvring of a multi-tonne block of metal at high speeds seriously. It's just pure stupidity. Its worse that so many people don't adjust their driving for bad weather. Question to a lorry driver. When you overtake another lorry on the motorway, causing all the slow idiots to pile up in the fast lane, is it normally because the other lorry is going too slow, or do you just want max out your limited speed and go a few MPH faster? Or vice versa?

I also drive B doubles for a living and to anyone watching this footage that is not a truck driver you need to realise that none of this is exceptional. As a large/long heavy vehicle driver you spend your days just trying to avoid an incident. It would be a normal day in syd to see the entire content of this vid in one shift.

I went in with a clip ( its up if you want to see it ) of a moron overtaking a B double and me with a caravan over double lines on an approach to a blind corner. The officer said that if I wanted to make a complaint they would pursue it but I would have to be prepared to go to court to give evidence if the complaint was challenged. Do any of us have time to go to court.. There needs to be more patrol cars and less f#### fixed speed cameras.

Just saw the report on your vid in Owner Driver. The police seem somewhat non-commital though. It's good that more and more truck drivers will get these cameras, it will stop a lot of BS from motorists when they run into us and it's all on the camera. Well balanced video. Have come across some nutcase drivers in B-doubles. Run off the road for zero reason by a driver obviously sick of dealing with situations shown in the video. Zero reason, no stopped traffic, no flat spotted tyres, just a B-double driver deliberately speding 2 stop me merging safely, not backing off leaving us driving in the emergency lane, and then once finally having his fun laughing and waving at us. I try to look after truck drivers - I know you guys get it tough.
You should drive in Sydney mate. I see this everyday going to work. Australian drivers in general don't adapt very well to other drivers on the road and unexpected situations due to the lack of formal training. We always think that following road rules blindly gives us the right to be snobby and look down upon other drivers. The truth is, drivers are human and they make errors all the time. A good driver adapts to changing situations.

It's so worrying how many people don't take the manoeuvring of a multi-tonne block of metal at high speeds seriously. It's just pure stupidity. Its worse that so many people don't adjust their driving for bad weather. Question to a lorry driver. When you overtake another lorry on the motorway, causing all the slow idiots to pile up in the fast lane, is it normally because the other lorry is going too slow, or do you just want max out your limited speed and go a few MPH faster? Or vice versa?

I also drive B doubles for a living and to anyone watching this footage that is not a truck driver you need to realise that none of this is exceptional. As a large/long heavy vehicle driver you spend your days just trying to avoid an incident. It would be a normal day in syd to see the entire content of this vid in one shift.

This cam is mounted high in the centre of the windscreen, so what you see is not my line of vision from the driver’s seat. I backed off as soon as I saw this stupid girl. The car that’s in the middle lane at 3:28 is in fact her. As for the rest of your comments, I suggest you stay off the red cordial, finish your homework and get your mummy to tuck you into bed.

@Fullnoise this footage confirms what ive been told about victorian drivers. worst drivers ever lol. im up on the east coast near the nsw/qld border nsw side and travel into qld regularly and have always wonderd why some qld drivers are so bad and some of the things i've see them do, then a friend told me the majority arnt qld drivers they are victorians who have moved to qld and brought their bad habbits with them. yes there are bad drivers in every state but victorians are the worst.

i did highway and melbourne local for some years, i`m glad i`m out of it, i partially blame the camera mentality of the Authorities for the abundance of rat bags on the road, if we had a decent amount of patrol cars pulling people up for bad driving instead of just randomly taking pictures of the people who may be slightly over the limit but still driving with care,
if a bloke was cynical ....... he might say it was really about money and less to do with safety.

Perhaps maybe you should report some of those vehicles when you see them by making an anonymous report to CrimeStoppers or something like that. Just a thought. Peace.

I went in with a clip ( its up if you want to see it ) of a moron overtaking a B double and me with a caravan over double lines on an approach to a blind corner. The officer said that if I wanted to make a complaint they would pursue it but I would have to be prepared to go to court to give evidence if the complaint was challenged. Do any of us have time to go to court.. There needs to be more patrol cars and less f#### fixed speed cameras.

Maybe people should be made to study some basic physics as part of their licence so they understand how weight affects stopping distance and the force!!! Glad that you've put up examples that bad driving comes from all drivers (bikes, cars and yes, trucks too) thanks for being one of the better drivers on the road and I hope you continue to stay safe on our roads :D

Just saw the report on your vid in Owner Driver. The police seem somewhat non-commital though. It's good that more and more truck drivers will get these cameras, it will stop a lot of BS from motorists when they run into us and it's all on the camera. I think cameras like this are essential when you drive for a living.

Well balanced video. Have come across some nutcase drivers in B-doubles. Run off the road for zero reason by a driver obviously sick of dealing with situations shown in the video. Zero reason, no stopped traffic, no flat spotted tyres, just a B-double driver deliberately speding 2 stop me merging safely, not backing off leaving us driving in the emergency lane, and then once finally having his fun laughing and waving at us. I try to look after truck drivers - I know you guys get it tough.

You should drive in Sydney mate. I see this everyday going to work. Australian drivers in general don't adapt very well to other drivers on the road and unexpected situations due to the lack of formal training. We always think that following road rules blindly gives us the right to be snobby and look down upon other drivers. The truth is, drivers are human and they make errors all the time. A good driver adapts to changing situations.
