In Michael's Era the only defense that was allowed to be played was man to man, you couldnt play zone defense like you can today so that made it to where people like Jordan,Wilt and Bird were unstoppable,and the player's today focus more on defense than in any other Era. In the 80's in might have been more physical but the players were slower shorter and not as strong....Kobe is the best in my opinion.

I just acknowledge facts and they PROVE Kobe rode on Shaq and Gasols back to cash ring after ring. He's a talented player, but there are more efficient out there, and always were. Except for 2 occasions, Kobe never was the main factor in his own team, neither was he ever the most efficient in the league. perhaps Kobe is more skilled than MJ, but it doesn't necessarily mean that he's greater than MJ. MJ's overall impact in the game will never be surpassed nor matched ever. Kobe Bryant is the closest player to MJ in terms of skills, mentality, and competitiveness. In Michael's Era the only defense that was allowed to be played was man to man, you couldnt play zone defense like you can today so that made it to where people like Jordan,Wilt and Bird were unstoppable,and the player's today focus more on defense than in any other Era. In the 80's in might have been more physical but the players were slower shorter and not as strong....Kobe is the best in my opinion.

Gasol averaged 15 points and 11 rebounds for that series...The 09 finals kobe averaged 30ppg 6 rebounds 5 assists and 2 steals per game..in 2010 he dominated the suns in the conference finals single handedly ,

I would not say KObe is better than Mike because they played at two different eras. Though, I would say that he can be compared to Mike and the fact that everybody is asking the question Kobe better than Mike is a proof that he can be compared to him. MJs highest ppg in the playoffs were 43ppg, Kobes high 32 ppg.

Micheal cant get 81, or is less likely to get 81 cause he cant shoot 3s as well as kobe.

An efficient game to any one-without even analyzing the fact he went 7-14 from 3, which is also pretty damn good. If you're trying to win a game, it doesn't matter who scores the points in the end-it matters that you scored them. 7-14 from 3, 21-32 from 2, 18-20 from the stripe. I don't care how you spread that out, that's hard to match. And Lamar went 1-7 on the night. Why should he have passed more?

And when he did-wouldn't you know it-they started winning. He also didn't have 0 assists, he had 2. Yeah, that's still below average for him, but if your team's collective shooting besides you is 14-42, your assist totals go down a lil' bit.

its not the fact that the players now are faster and stronger..its the fact that ever since they took away the handchecking n put the defensive 3 second rule in the paint it allows for players to show case there skills better in away in jordans time they could never do. hand checking didnt just go on in one on one play it went as far as yu running off screens n it was extremely tiring on the body. kobe hasnt had to experience this. all they can do to kobe is ride him at the hip.

Kobe is the best player of all time. Jordan never had to face opponents like the ones Kobe has to face. Jordan was great in his day but this is now.
