There r no rules that state you can or cannot lope with the hindquarters swung to the inside of the arena. The reason trainers do this is it puts the horse in the desired "frame" and slows them down without handling their face in the show ring. this being said i would graciously applaud any horse that can travel straight and in perfect frame and judges do perfer that they travel straight. but i do love sensation blonde, exceptional horse that moves great!
Actually judges prefer that you don't. This is an exaggerated maneuver that forces the horse to move slower and it looks bad. The horses need to travel forward and straight.
I couldn't stay for the Trail. Had to go home and pick up my daughter from school after I rode my Paint at 5 that morning and we went and rode the other horses after school.
LOL judging from the perspective of this video, I was a few seats away from the videographer! She is such a nice horse. She had a great show, she won everything she and Chelsea went in. You should have seen her trail pattern at this show, it was beautiful. She and I were tied for first until the last judge. She deserved first place. Congratz to her again. Her horsemanship was good too!
I loathe this 'fashion' of loping. She looks crippled.

Lovely horse, is she supposed to be loping around with her right hip thrown in instead of loping in a straight track?

SouthShoreSporthorse, you are supposed to lope with the hip towards the center of the arena in western. :)

I wouldn''t be saying what you think...This horse is a western pleasure world champion. So please no rude comments about her.
