  • I thought Commodore was forever gone?

  • Follow-up time! Has it become available in the US as stated? If so, how much?

  • They said in the second half of 2007, so don't look for it until summer/fall.

  • Well,I want to thank you for uploading this,I enjoyed it!

  • Ouch... I guess tony2socks' comment hurts...

  • Worst interviewer ever.

  • Thank you Tony that's very sweet.

  • I want to appologize, the comment was not well thought out, you are not the worst interviewer ever. I think I would have been better stating that I thought the interview was harsh.

  • You seemed to be grilling the vendor for information on the product and you seemed dissapointed at the shortcomings in the features. Given the context of the interview and the source of the newscast, I expected a more positive spin on the product. This was a trade show, not a competition. That was the basis for my comment. Please accept my appology, I was being rude.

  • Ok, I understand that my tone is not the usual happy interviewer tone, but please realize I come from the hardware side of things too, and frankly the Commodore people were quite awesome to let me have an interview at the last moment. Also, some of the Commodore team has responded to my wishes for a browser and email. You can see more context, updates, and discussion about it on the Netscape page about this product.

  • I thought Commodore went under in 1994 ? Afterwards German company Escom bought the rights, then Tulip, followed by Gateway 2000, all failed and nothing came of the Commodore brand name thereafter?.. Maybe im getting it all confused with the Amiga patent and not Commodore itself?. Maybe its the Amiga that Escom and the other subsequent companies bought the rights too and not Commodore?. Im very surprised by this.

  • You're thinking of Amiga. Escom and Gateway never got Commodore. Tulip BV did, and still has it.

  • Still not right. When Commodore went bankrupt Escom bought it including the Amiga line, which basically was the only product line left Commodore had at this time. Escom then created Amiga Technologies as an own subcompany, so on the new Amigas produced there was no Commodore Logo anymore. Commodore they took as their new brand for Multimedia PCs. After Escom went bankrupt itself, Commodore and Amiga went seperate ways.

  • Tony, reporters are supposed to "grill" vendors...that's the point of trade shows, you idiot. Was she supposed to glaze over the Gravel's shortcomings and not critique it?

Yes, I agree with you on one thing. You were being rude. Then you tried to "put a positive spin" on your own comments -- which clearly we all took "out of context". Own up to it -- you're just an a**hole. Go play in traffic.
