I've been using Thunderbird for two years and had no problem connecting to Gmail, Hotmail etc. All you need to do is install Thunderbird, then navigate to [add account] then input your login details.
thankz kid you helped alot most ppl made it so hard ... and mine hade one more menu for your outgoing host so i just entered localhost in again and it worked but again thankz!!!!:)
It wouldn't hurt to type a few characters into google ("thunderbird") and see what it is. Firefox has nothing to do with it. Thunderbird is an email client.
This is the first tutorial I came across that made me realize to right click and save as then install from Thunderbird. Also this is the only tutorial I have tried that worked, the others show to use Webmail instead of E-Mail account setting!
can you please help me. I followed this but when i click finish and enter my password it says: "sending of the password did not succeed. mail server localhost responded:negative vibes from (my yahoo email here). what do i do??
I'm very sorry, but it can be anything O_o Maybe it's your firewall, go on Options and see if you have a green light, that might show if there's connectivity. Also, double check the video to make sure you entered everything correctly.
Hm....there can be many things happening. Try reinstalling the newest version of webmail, and if that still doesnt work, it might be your firewall. Check your settings on it. If you still have more probs, ill brainstorm some more :-/
Whattaa?? my outlook used to work fine now its not working, i actually want this to send emails, i should've read the comments before doing the thing.
This method cannot be used to send emails. so it's not important. To view emails, just follow these directions and you'll be fine :D Although I recommend Gmail because they have POP/IMAP so you can now use it fully with thunderbird/outlook.
Ok, well thanks any way but I am just gunna go get a gmail account and swich all of my registered stuff to the gmail. :( the yahoo pop and forwarding should have stayed free.

Outlook is not working? Explain a little further, and you can always just uninstall Thunderbird and it should fix any problems IT caused O_o
