Take a video while running a speed test in Windows Safe Mode with Networking. Now you can't win.

Here's the deal. You have a firewall that scans data before your browser gets it (Avira for example) Once your firewall has finished scanning the data, it throws it at your browser in large chunks, creating the alleged speed spikes. This is called "caching". Try downloading a 50MB file, and time it with your stopwatch, bet you can't download it in 3 seconds. Notice it says "Preparing Download" for a few seconds... yeah, the data is getting cached. I had an argument at work once over this...

Is it good in your opinion cause I have att dsl and only get 5 megabits a second.

you only ger 70% of what you get this is bull shit you dont get is 100% just got off of the phone thats what you get if you have3mb thats not the speed your going to get you will some time get 2.2 2.1 1.0 600 700 1.5mb a sec if ur paying 60.00 or more for it well you call and see tell them on the phone that the last time you call they side 70% thats what you get any 1 no any othere net i can pay for all ears for it like upload speed 3mb or more
