  • The only similarity the book has to Twilight is Phoebe's conflicting emotions being in love with Tommy and Adam. That doesn't even take up much in the book, there is more to it than that. I don't hate Twilight, but the fame and obsession it has taken over makes it less appealing. I don't want that happening to Generation Dead. It isn't Twilight, nor is it like Twilight. It has more to it than Vampire/Werewolf obsessions and baby having retarded obsessive girly girls with no mind of their own.

  • i couldnt finish the book because it was to cheesy and i read it during my goth sorta thing stage i didnt like it

  • All i have to say about this book is that it is really good. i would recomend it to anyone

  • We no its not you don't have to post on and on about it. I meen the fact that evry one no's that he is a zombie is prof enuf of that. Haf the plot of twilight is being introdust to a world of secrts and shadows. Du to it NOT being a secrt that he is a zombie takes care of that now dusint it, and like you sed OVER AND OVER AGIN the romance is only a small part of it, meens that we don't need to be told that it is not TWILIGHT,witch is the best book EVER made in the histery of FOREVER.

  • @thefoxyfurrylovefox I'm sorry, but I swear to God you have the WORST spelling and grammar of ANY living person I have ever seen. No offense.

  • It has all most all the stuf I like in a book, But it allso sounds like the move z.a. Witch was the most boring zombie movie I evre saw I was only abul to sit thru about 1/3 of it, so im not sher if I'll read it, but I'll consder it.

  • WHY THE HELL IS EVERYONE COMPARING IT TO TWILIGHT?

Pheobe and Tommy's puny crush barely has anything to do with the plot! This book is about taking risks to become friends with hated minorities so you can make a difference. It's about the value of friendship, bravery, and how painful it is when everyone you loved has abandoned, etc.

I hate that "Generation Dead" is marketed with this false "girl falls in love with dead guy" label. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TWILIGHT!

  • This book touched my heart and I was caught by surprise so many times. I fell in love with it. The worst thing I can say about it is that it's only 392 pages and I finished it in like a week. Glad there's a sequel.

  • everytime i try to check it out someone ALWAYS gets ther first XD

  • I actually didn't like it, but then again, I'm too picky.

Also, my english teacher didn't like it, and appearently she knows the author.

  • That's interesting to me, everyone I've recommended it to fell in love with it. To each their own, I suppose!

  • your teacher is a liar and generation dead is the most awezomest book eva. i read 4 times in like a week.

  • When you learn to use capitols and to spell, I'll agree. :)

  • im on the 6th chapter and so far im definitely in love with it. i like how daniel waters doesn't write like how a man would normally, he writes really soft and lovingly. i just love his style and this book is soooo my type.

  • I really love this book and i really wish that this book would be more famous than twilight.Generation Dead is so much better than Twilight! :D

  • Aww I just started yesterday

  • I adored this book!!! i did cry and it made me sad!! but I love both Tommy and adam. i cant wait for the kiss of life in may!! =]

  • I read this book and i loved it althought i hated Tommy and at the end i cried the book was really good but it just reminds of twilight too much

  • i loved this book.

it made me cry so hard.

i love adam not tommy though.

  • This almost sorta sounds like Twilight [girl falls in love with supernatural being, ditto, etc.] but with political intrigue. Therefore it must be better. And it also got the Beccabump, so that's a good sign. I think I'm going to have to give it a try, especially if the author will be coming around to speak to us. :]

  • There is a small similarity, but the girl has real legitimate personality and opinions outside of "OMG EDWARD! You're sparkly! Lets love each other in a totally platonically romantic way 4evar!"

  • *is afraid to ask* The zombies don't *gulp* sparkle? Right? xDDD

  • I can appreciate an author tackling the topics that you mention in your review.

But dead people shouldn't have any rights. They have passed on and should be reasonable and just stay in their graves. I can see this being a big boost to the cremation industry.

    Life is for the living.

I had the same issue with the Anita Blake books. Well, that was one issue among many, many others...

I do like your reviews however. Librarians rock.

  • For the record, the Whitman Public Library fully supports the rights of the differently biotic/living impaired/mobile deceased.

We feel that they have just as much right as the living to freely access information. We would gladly issue them a library card just as we would with the traditionally biotic members of the community.

  • diffrently bioic ppl have as much rights as the next person. so there different but they are still citizens of the country state whatever. If you were differntly biotic you would want equality 2.

  • Here's the thing. Once you die, you lose all of your rights. As it should be.

  • I will read this book because of your recommendation.

  • Awesome, Roy, I'm glad! You'll really enjoy it.
