its a great laptop the greatest ive seen such great performance and so sleek and always has a sense of design if only they could have a netbook version
does anyone that own a macbook pro... 13" or bigger, know what to choose if u play like alot but not every day!!! only sometimes. heat and performance....???? plaese reply. (sorry for bad english)
I've got the 13.3", basic configuration (which means 2.26 Ghz Core 2 Duo, 2 Gb DDR3 RAM, 160 GB HDD) And i run call of duty 4 perfectly.... There is no heating problem that you should be affraid of, and the performance as i said is great.... Remember it has a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics processor, so it will be a good choice for you.
Go for a PC if you're up for a little bit of gaming. I love macs, but they don't game, at least not for a reasonable price. Plus the best video card is the 9600m GT, which isn't that great and it only has half a gig of vram.
No shit, I own a mac and I have windows 7 on it, the point is that the video card is just not good. If you want to game, buy a PC and you'll enjoy better performance with your games.
For best performance for 15" with 3.06ghz processor, 8GB RAM (though 4GB of RAM is enough), and for less heat and amazing performance, the 256GB SSD. Although SSD's are pretty expensive.
@999kav Honestly, I have a Macbook Pro but I would much rather use my Mac Pro. This computer has a fast enough processor but the Mac Pro is faster, larger screen and I just don't like gaming on a laptop. No key pad and its just awkward when I do. If you want to game on a Mac Pro or an iMac. Just my preferences.
I'm a musician, so when i bought this i got really disapointed. Why on earth the audio line in and out are together?. Man it sucks, apple should have kept them as MacBook.
It doesn't really matter I think... As long as you buy a MacBook after the 3rd of June then you can apply for a copy of Snow Leopard from Apple. I think they install it free in store for you and if you want it sent to you it's $9.95 or something like that...If I am wrong someone please correct me in a kind manner...
I am so happy to be getting that tomorrow! I recently purchased the MacBook White, unknowing that they were about to update the entire line, so tomorrow I am going back in,paying around $200 more and getting the MBP 13"
I <3 My MacBook Pro : )

Not being able to get to the battery is not a bad thing if you battery last 7 hours!
ibpointless2 2 years ago
not only that, the battery life it self last for about 3-5 years under average usage before you start noticing changes.

I will have to get the 15 inch model. Why apple?

They probably needed the space for the Firewire and SD card slot or smth.
But I agree with you.
