  • song brings back such wonderful heartfelt memories of me & dad watching "the last waltz" together...sipping the wined n' smokin a little....he turned me on to the best shit of my life when he introduced me to the band...that's been some years ago but, memories seem like yesterday.

  • I like reading all the comments on Rick's videos. It reminds me that I'm not the only person who loved Rick so much it hurt.

  • Regardless...the music is worth all that is said...

  • If any of you have not read Levons book I would. This will make you cry

  • my favorite part from the last waltz sung with so much fucking soul!

  • Thanx. I had that record long long time ago..

  • This is so sad, every time i listen to the last waltz it always nearly brings a tear to my eye. Rick Danko was one of the greats!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Does anyone know where or how I could get this to my iPod? I end up humming this tune all day, need to hear it in the car speakers!

  • @EVOLVER1977 you could probably torrent it if you know how. or i bet its available on itunes in some version.

  • @EVOLVER1977 just type in "Youtube to mp3" into google. just copy and paste the link, pretty easy. i'd suggest trying to buy it though, quality is never quite as good if you just take it off youtube.

  • i love this song its hard to listen to without tearing up...ahhh the bittersweet void of life.

  • be so cool !! and not dry tears......

  • I'll second that "saddest part" of The Last Waltz. That was a classic scene. Scorseze really worked that emotion out by softly questioning and just staying quiet for the response. I wasn't around for that era, but the first time I heard the Last Waltz I was an instant fan. The thing is its not just the music with the Band, they learned from Dillan that lyrics should mean something.

  • thank u soooooo much for this song god where is a creation like this now in 2011 nowhere :( goodbye 70

  • Heart-wrenchingly beautiful. Thank you so much for this.
