The Iran government is just as bad as the others dont forget, at spreading propaganda through media its been going since before the invention of the TV. It has got worse in the UK, i have noticed that our tv has got more like the US tv channels for e.g after about 8min of the program being on sometimes less it goes to adverts and they will be synchronized with some other channels so if u flip other its adverts on most stations dose my head in!
the thing is our world despite what it may seem like in the wes, is shity place. 75 % of the world population have to suffer just to provide for nations like the US. All super powers rellay on explotations of others inorder to dominate.
However i do condam the human rightes violations that occur there, and i as an Iranian would love to see the current government changed but without any western influence as this will allways result in future conflicts.

What is so weird is that when you put it all together from start to finish, the image and motives are clear. Without it, who would have known? Some dark forces out there are getting stronger off the fiat system.
thanks. I wish I was qualified to say, but I suspect that they do condone some brutal sharia practices. However, that is no reason to demonise them, as Saudi Arabia is equally brutal but the US's ally. They are not exporting terror, though unlike the US. It's all about oil. hope you watched my brand new vid. cheers.
yes your right, i also believe that politics and religion should never be mixed. But Iran today is one of the most prograssive nations in the region. i mean more than 50 % of university graduates in iran are women.
I also believe that they are very tolerant of their jewish minority - which really surprised me. The problem is that the global media is disseminated through the English language - the language of power. When brits hear Ahmadinejad they immediately think "an extremist muslim on a rant" - I wish there was a bi-lingual leader who could play the media at their own game.
I thinkso as well, iran is a victome of negetive media. Yes iranians are constently demonised, but this is no surprise realy. American ssociety is so much influeneced by the media that they are essentially controlled by it.
Same here in Britain. When I tell people that the US supported Iraq in the Iran-Iraq war, they have no idea. I'm old enough to remember that war and the BBC portrayed it as a war between two countries with no western involvement. The scale of the chemical WMDs in that war was appalling - all used by the US-backed Saddam.
yes unfortunatly most people dont realize that the west was one of the cousing factores of the war. In supplying the iraqi leader saddam hussain with arms Iranins , kurds, and many more civiliants had to suffer. Specially with the use of Chemical bomb. the thing is Iran sorounded baghdad, US couldent see that happening so naturrally they gave saddam chemical weapon to drive the iranians out.
The video doesn't mention the diplomatic go-ahead for Saddam to invade Kuwait, nor the go-ahead for the Shi'ites to rise up in southern Iraq during Gulf War I only so they could be left alone to be freely slaughtered by Saddam.
I watched a 2-hour special on the History Channel about the history of Saddam. They put it differently of these 2 events you speak of, but to debate this further would be fruitless, because he is dead. Now the Iraqis vote for their leaders. In America we had a civil war too. That war claimed over 500,000 American lives. Many people want to blame America, but many countries are free because of only America.
sandy shaw "puppet on a string". It won the Eurovision song contest for the UK about 30 years ago. Easy song to get on download/ cd. I should really have asked permission, but who does on youtube ?
the truth..is hurting. well done video for all those, who wants to see a little light at the end of a tunnel.facts, which are hidden by tv, media&press.
why do my people feel they must pick sides in a conflict, can't all parties involved be wrong? Saddam is dead who cares does it change anything?we have a world of leaders like him.not to mention the one's we are stuck with in the west.
It fits the hollywood narrative we are supposed to believe - to have baddies who live in caves like osama, or crazy arabs like saddam fighting the good guys in the west (who always tell the truth). And in the film, the baddies die and the world is saved.
It is not misleading at all since the other side of the story you refer to is all that is constantly being played ad nauseum on western media it is impossible not to know that side of the story (saddam = bad) while no media explains or puts this US supported Saddam and the role of Oil in proper perspective.
The Media is wall to wall propaganda, there is no need to repeat it for people to know about it, contrary to the issues in this video.
This video is full of half truths and is completly misleading. Maybe you should do a complete research on everything that happened in that area before posting videos like this.
would you like to say what is wrong about this? ALl of these people who just refuse to believe it are not supporting it much. i mean give me a break. is it that unreal to admit that america has done some wrongs in the past. stupid americans who refuse to look at any criticism of their country.
Would you like to tell me which part is wrong. how many times do you hear Bush telling people that america once sold arms to Iraq. He is the one with the half truths and the hollywood portrayal of "evil" saddam vs goody goody US.
Yes I feel the issue is the people like yourself who do research on peanuts against the Main-stream-media, and their billions, and it's guys like you adrianallen who more often hit the nail on the head, that is just messed up. Power to you my friend
You left out a bunch of stuff which is VERY misleading. It would be like me telling a story about how the U.S. attacked and bombed Japanese cities to the ground, WITHOUT mentioning the attack on Pearl Harbour.
I didn't have time to write an essay, only to make a video that gets people thinking. Of course there are other sides to the story, but one thing is true - we supported saddam whilst he carried out a terrible regime of genocide, just because it suited us at the time. And if you don't believe me, expand the video description box and give the link a click.
inatent I,m ok ,I have bad news though the body you say the cop's found isn't me! It's your mom and the small dick is really the last 3" of her 20" dildo!
The main problem with this video isn't that it's incorrect; it just gets a few events wrong. The inaccurate aspect of this video is that it tries to explain the 60 plus years of British/U.S. history with Iraq without considering the cold war. That's like trying to explain world war II without discussing Germany.
The reasoning behind much of the decisions that were made over these decades was the lessor of two evils. capitalism and democracy vs. communism and totalitarianism.
Thank you. The video is Michael Moore-like in its cherry picking of isolated "facts" without putting them in complete context. As far as the "infamous photograph", I recall a famous photo of a certain Democratic President hobnobbing with a Soviet tyrant who later was responsible for 20-60 million deaths. We do whatever is in America's best interest at the time.
Dismissing al revisionist accounts is like dismissing all conpiarcy theories. You have labelled it by its style and then refuse to listen to what it has to say. Can you not accept that america supported saddam over the years, the same time when he was committing WMD atrocities ?
Ok I get your point. However, when condeming this man and invading his country, more people should be aware of the support we once gave him, and in doing this i hope i have succeeded.
I personally thought that most people were aware of america's post-war hatred of the USSR, so did not need to mention it. What people are not aware of is how we did support Saddam, and for that reason I hope to have shed new light on the issue.
From 1967-1984 Iraq and the USA had no formal relations.
I've added a related video, covering 1979-1988, focussing mostly on the Iran-Iraq war and the suppliers of Biological, Chemical, and Orthodox weaponry for that campaign.
some pts debatable but essentially thats it...when denial dont work they appeal to the god of realpolitik...its ok to back murderers for decades on end...at enormous public expense...in a good cause you know...the good cause being preservation of the oil based economy...and the profits thereof for those with vested interests in it
excellent video ... you did not mention that before Saddam invaded Kuwait on August 2, 1990, he had first approached the U.S. State Department to feel out USA's response. He was told by Margaret D. Tutwiler that the USA "does not interfere in Arab to Arab affairs" basically giving him a green light for the invasion.
This is just one puppet on a string. Don't forget Gen. Manuel Noriega, Idi Amin,Botha,Diem,Duvalier,Franco, Hitler,Marcos,Pinochet,Somoza,Suharto,The Shah of Iran...lol
You have nothing of substance to say. Your not smart enough to debate. The best you can do is come up with dumb ass 6th grader remarks. You are a typical liberal fascist...personally attack anyone with a dissenting viewpoint.
I have not personally attacked anybody, only presented facts and ideas for people to draw their own conclusions from. But re-read your comment again, is that not a personal attack on me ?
Adrianallan, My comment was not directed at you but Trystin123. I think YOU are plenty smart enough to debate. While I think I will disagree with most of your politics, I respect your views.
Inatent is a big pussy. he will block your comments just for disagreeing with him.don't listen to anything he say's,I have been following this comments for some time now,he never offers up his opinion, and backs any thing up with facts. He justleaves comments like the previous one once again.
Also, WHAT senate report links transfer of chemicals to Iraq from Maryand? When was it done? What is the official number of this report? Basically I would like to see you back up your assumptions with proof.
I have problems with this video. With statements Like, Economic sanctions "crippling Iraq's economy", or "500,000 children die from sanctions". Have you heard of the oil for food program? First offered to Iraq in 1991. FOOD, MEDICAL SUPPPLIES, and humanitarian items were allowed to be purchased by Iraq. Saddam abused this program to get himself richer. Iraq's economy and standard of living is result of SADDAM...not the west.
And how long did it take the west to realise that they were punishing the innocent Iraqis - ten years ? Sanctions were not the answer. after war reparations to Kuwait, the oil for food programme provided only $180 per Iraqi over 3 years. I will provide evidence of Maryland WMDs when I re-check my sources, but I guarantee I've not made this one up.
but but but if it wasnt for the Wests intervention their woul be NO oil for food program, how arogant of you inatent, you shoot a man in the leg and blame him for limping would you?
The UNITED NATIONS put sanctions on Iraq. Even the liberal progressive nations you liberals love so much voted for it. If you disagree with the sanctions blame THEM.
Indeed I do blame the U.N. for bowing to American pressure. What right has a country to suffer collective punishment for the crimes of its leader ? Why are sanctions not imposed on Israel for its illegal occupation of Palestine ?
Thanks for the video. This is the stuff that most Americans don't know about. Saddam is a classic example of blowback from the CIA. We don't seem to ever learn.
What amazes me although I guess it shouldent, is that the Neo-Con supporters arent PROUD of this, I mean they seem to be proud of everything else they have done but they accuse the Anti-War movement of inventing evidence, as if we need to, there is already SO much of their criminality in the public domain lol unbelievable people
It's in the public domain, but crucially, it never makes it to the mass media, where opinions are shaped. For example I'm old enough to remember that the Iran-Iraq War was portrayed as a war of attrition between the two countries on the BBC, missing the finer details of western support. They still never report on the arms deals that fuel wars. Thank God for the internet !
