God that's a beautiful example. I haven't ever seen one in person, but it's on my list of things I need to do when I finally go visit Finland and Russia.
@RuHartnett Nope. There was an supreme command order: full auto fire in most dramanic moments of battle only and not more than 4...5 mags i.e. 60..75 rounds. Since AVS is full auto but not mashine gun and its frame isn't as strong as that of MG. Powerful 7.62x54r is a bit too for full auto 4.5 kg gun.
They are like half-brothers, the sks feeds from stripper clips and has the tilting bolt. The SVT has a tilting bolt, detachable mag/stripper clips AND an adjustable gas system, the SVT is like a hybrid of an SKS and FAL.
@csmybuttt The muzzle brake is more of a cylinder with a large cutout on top and two smaller ones at the bottom. The gas system is a standard short-stroke design on the top of the barrel (used for the first time in history on a rifle, btw.).
make full auto pls

Thanks for great video! I'm really love this rifle!
BTW, I thought the AVS's full automatic mechanism has been remove in production model, am I right?

Wow..really super rare weapon right here. Where on earth did you find it and you should make a video of it on full auto.

This rifle was the the father of the SKS
MrLongbranch303 10 months ago
@MrLongbranch303 No. The SKS is based on Simonovs model 1931 rifle. The AVS-36 utilizes a different, more complicated mechanism.

@dukenukemthreed I know that. The rifle in the video is the Simonov AVS, not the Tokarev SVT.

Just stating the obvious for all to see.

No full auto?
BTW, interesting muzzle brake/gas system (?) design. Looks like an hourglass mounted sideways.
