It is not Qin Dynasty but the era of Spring and Autumns allowed people to pursue their dreams much more flexible as you try. So what if your home state doesn't want you, if you are abled, you can easily find job in another state. Many of the man (such as 商鞅) who made Qin powerful were not Qin citizens themselves by birth. But i agree with you the current HK system is not fair at all as seen in the case of Amina; the judicial system had lost their effectiveness.

there is a show in uk which comes on once a year with people comes from rich background. Their task was to live in the gutter in london city, some of them reacted well and in the end they were helping and contribute to people who are in need, yet some just cannot bear with being broke and living on the cold street and cheated on the show, i think the 4 people on the on the program shows lot more character than those in uk,
