Instead of cutting the tree down you should have pulled it down if you wanted to have al the roots and the stump removed.
So much easier then what you are doing now.

the law is if you had left the stump higher you could have used it as a Lever and quite easly pushed it over....

We are putting a pond down in the bottom and thats where our road is going through.

You would need a dozer to push it out without digging. Why did you need the stump removed?
