  • Despite the brilliance of Steve Jansen's drumming, I think this track is better without any. The drums just seem to detract from the eerie ambience of the original & other versions I've heard Sylvian perform post Japan. It's almost as if it was a case of; well Steve's here, I might as well use him! Very good version of Fire in the forest from the slowburning but ultimately superb Blemish album. I implore all of you who dismissed it after 1 listen to give it another 4 or 5. It's truly worthwhile.

  • I was in this Hong Kong concert. Now see this superb live interpretation again, I love the percussion especially. His music is brilliant ! Thanks for this video.

  • @ALPQZM654 and his dignity!

I would dearly love to see him in concert but never have enough money to make a trip. Thanks for Youtube and all who post on her!

  • I get lost with this....

  • By the way, Steve's debut solo album is insanely good!

  • Really classy! With only 3 chords this man makes a true melody

  • I love this version of AFITF. Great artist, musician and defenitely greatest modern poet.

Don't know what I'd do without his music.

  • Amazingly evocative stuff. Haunting, spiritual, peaceful. The words, the music, the mood, it's beautiful, meaningful. Thanks Mr Sylvian. You are an inspiration and a true poet.

  • wonderful. really emotionally stirring.

  • Can't get enough of this man.

    Criminally handsome still.

  • thank you so much for this one. I saw him in Reggio Emilia, the day after this show took place and just yesterday in Madrid. His music amazes me...I love the live versions of AFITF and Ghosts so much!!

  • David Sylvian is in a class of his own and truly one of the greatest. I've been a fan for more than 10 yrs. and his whole Output still is as powerful and delightful as it was in the first place. Simply devastating!

And this rendition of "Fire/Ghost" is wonderful! Thx alot!
