  • @w4tch4u if your saying getting a tune on a evo will get you 10whp and no torque your pretty stupid both sti and evo turbos are a lot bigger than ur little k03 , im not gona argue w you so drop it

  • I got to get my 20th to the track, I've never been.

Wonder what I would run with unitronics 630cc file and gr2871r at 20psi.

    Anyone have any ideas?

  • Not a 1/4 mile. Quit fronting.

  • @Xubxdance lmao your funny. Look up bradenton motorsports park. Its a 1/4 mile. 11 seconds would be a slow ass 1/8th

  • how much hp?

  • any evo or sti or wrx with a tune, just a tune with no bolt ons will kill any stage 2 2.0vw , i love vw no disrespect just saying

  • @lZg0t6 uhm no ! Those cars are allready tuned prettty well off the factory vw is the one that is tuned to be reliable you tune vw you get 30+ more hp along with lots of torque you tune mitsubishi you get 10+hp and no torque... But mitsu is superior if it's one stage lower...

  • @W4TCH4W - "Mistsu is superior" - you obviously haven't driven a VW in the last 15 years.

  • @mjm5871 oh yes sir i drove a 06 gti ( new ) decent power but interior is shit and the new gti mk6 and pull was not good enough.... Too much money for too little car is what it comes up to in the end... Stop talking about german quality either , engine reliability ( horrible) and quality is good but not godsent like the italians..

  • did you run a LSD or slicks on that?

  • I seriously wish that they come out with a AWD 2.0TSI

  • @RocknRican R32

  • @RocknRican

    2012 Golf R man.

  • @Sunzhine337 I saw it in this months motor trend, this could be the new DSM, its less than a second away from a evo and a sti

  • @RocknRican

True that. give it APR Stage 2 ECU, Turbo Back Exhaust, and a solid Stage 2 Intake and it'll chew the pants off of both the Evo and STi.

Can we FINALLY say they have a AutoX rival from Volkswagen?

  • what turbo size is that guy running...

  • @Jazzman210 If it is APR Stage 3 like the title says, then it is a GT28RS i believe. The stage 3+ is still the GT28 but a diff version (idk which, like the GT28rs71 or somethin werid)

  • @bharvey2010 Stage three is a K04 turbo and stage four is a GT30R70.

  • @steveoin724 auctally for the FSI engine the stage 3 is a gt2871r, the KO4 is its own turbo kit called the KO4/S3 turbo kit and the stage 4 that they only produce case by case is anything biggher than a gtx3071r. the TSI engines have the same "stages" except for they have a stage 3+ which is a gt3071r.

  • DSG is pretty insane, to all the haters. I have a mk6 6MT and ive driven a stage 2 dsg. It will do mid 13s without hardly trying

  • i cant believe how fast stg3 is, i love APR, i hope to go stg4 some day soon

  • i cant believe how fast stg3 is, i love APR, i hope to go stg4 some day soon

  • is this dsg or 6-spd?

  • @Bilbur428 i'm guessing six speed. idk how much power those dsg's can handle over stock with out upgrading the clutches.

  • @element3215 my friend who is currently moding his says quite a bit

  • @Bilbur428 it is dsg and 6 spd.

  • @0077khalid so it is the dsg?

  • this thing is runnin right

  • After my APR tune my gas consumption improved no doubt. There is less rich spots in the fuel mapping and a much finer tune than the (VW) factory offers.

  • @Senninha1960, i don't quite agree since the remapping does tend to be more on the performance side than gas save mode. my GTI drinks more gas when I switch from Stock to 91 or 93...even eats more on 93 tune. This is on a city/hwy combined. But when it's set to stock tune,it goes back to well...Stock...gas saving mode...either way I love APR's software.

  • @jonray74

Hell yeah love the tune! :)

A lot of guys down here in Australia notice slightly better consumption on the APR tune, it is marginal though. Might be the different octane ratings?

  • @Senninha1960

i just put 94 Sunoco here today, and switch the car to 93 mode, and yeah, power is so noticeable compared with stock. When in stock, you'll definitely feel the car less aggressive and starts doing 7.6-9 L/100km on combined city/hwy. When i'm on 93, it really opens up, but then it starts to drink more and does 11-12 L/100km combined city/hwy...when in 91 it does 10-11.1 L/100km combined...still a great car and tune i must say! For what it's worth, it's best bang for the buck!!

  • nicee!!!

  • Whats ur mod list? I wish I could run 11s

  • i hav a 09 gti as my daily driver but im scared to add any mods because i might end up wasting lots of money on gas ...how much mpg does this gti get with the stage 3 turbo?

  • When you are not blasting around and driving normally, you'll likely see an increase in mileage.

  • dude if you want power, u can throw fuel economy out the window... put up with the cost of extra fuel, it still works out cheaper than buying another fuel efficient vehicle

  • That depends on your foot. If you always in boost driving fast your MPG is gonna suck when stock.

But if you just set the cruise at 75 and dont touch it on the freeway your still gonna get high 20's

  • i have 50 % more power on mine and i get 32 on hgw , stage 3 makes 34 mpg

  • Comment removed

  • get an apr tune and youll get better gas mileage, GTI's are detuned from the factory. with the tune youll get 40+ more hp and even more torque

  • how does the gas mileage improve with the tune?

  • @mozaks80 more efficient power use improves your MPG.

  • bigger turbo = better vacuum = the reason turbos were made in the first place = better gas mileage.

As long as you're not boosting, you'll see better mileage.

My friend had a Revo Stage 3 A4 and he was getting around 20-21 MPG, even after some spirited driving.

  • no boost = same mpg's you would get n/a

  • are you running the 100 oct file?

  • The APR stage 3 is a gt2871rs on the mkv's

  • how does a gt28rs compare to the stage 3 apr?

  • i don't think he let him go first. i went to drag racing at infineon and they would purposely let one car go on the tree before the other. i don't know why though.

  • it's called bracket racing. you set a time and the goal is to basically cross the finish line at the same time without breaking out on your set time.

  • its for bracket racing. the slower car leaves first.

  • lol, that gti guy is that confident that he let the audi go first. I wish my mk5 gti can do that but i dnt wanna decrease the life of my car, just thinking of gettin it chip, induction, & exhaust.

  • Ok you have to be the fastest apr stage 3 i have seen. What kinda tires were you using? Did you use a wotbox or anything?..... more details on your setup

  • hopefully some day my mk5 can do that

  • man this motha fa is 23 g a 7 g tune so it 30 g and 11 sec man ,very nice ,german all the way

  • wow if it doesnt spin thats a low 11 second car 1 2 and 3rd spun like a motha fa...
