He's in good voice for his age, but I find the interpretation just too schmaltzy. And that's saying something, for what's already a somewhat schmaltzy song. Also, not sure about what he does with some of the text -- especially tacking "bis ich" right onto the next line. Strauss put a rest there for a reason.
Better than not bad... i have heard singings who only dream to sing like this in their prime never mind at 66. lol... i only hope and pray i am as nibble and spry at this age. Bravo maestro!!!

Pity he's so involved with his voice that he forgets about the music. Still the voice sounds as if it has gained some more resonance. Bravo!
