why theres no directx/games subject arround windows for mobiles...apple is growing and growing with mobile games...Whats MS thinking? They should know by experience the impact of game development for an OS (aka DOS->Win migration)

@yksnimus You are saying shit. WP7 uses XNA which is built on DirectX and they include all the game development tools you need with the WP7 developer kit. Not only that it's easy to port games to PC to WP7 to Xbox.

I say this as someone who has developed games for iOS and is now currently developing for WP7. Don't let the fact that iOS has been around 4 or 5 years longer and has more games on the store, make you think you know what's up. WP7 is by far the easiest platform.

I recently traded in my blackberry for wp7 phone for work. I do not listen to music or watch movies. I just use it for email and instant messaging.

Guess what? Win7 doesn't even have MS exchange communicator nor any current apps for it as far as I know and it is useless for work without it.

How can Microsoft not integrate their own app on the phone that is essential for business work?

@9krishnaprasad like the video said, it's a prototype device based on Samsung Omnia HD. Samsung modified the device to match the requirements for wp7 os so the internal specs and external designs are lil big different. And no you can ever buy this phone~

This review is so retarded it's hilarious. The bb is over 3g and the w7 is over wifi. Even then I have the torch and when I use it over 3g it's 10 times faster than you're showing and over wifi it's practically instant. Why do you bother reviewing anything, I could get my 7 year old to do a more professional job.

This is a very very idiot review. They just show why u don't need to buy the Blackberry Torch; very very unequal support Engadget with this device.

The Torch has so many great features that make the value of it. Push services for example, with the best email support in all the smartphones in the market and the delicious desing and qwerty keyboard.

Why i, as a common blackberry user, care if the browser is more o less faster than the others in other devices?, its simple man, we dont care.

Actually at and t 3 g is faster than verizons so that statement didn't make any sense this is acknowledged by verizon too so don't argue the opposite And the rendering of the text and pictures in and out was after the page loaded so the service doesn't matter at that point. One is 1 gig and the other is 650 meghz so obviously there is going to be a diff

This was an unfair comparison. How can you compare these two phones in this way. I know the torch is likely to be slower because of cpu speed but give it a chance by connecting it to wifi as well. I like the windows phone 7 concept but feel that the OS doesn't use the phone to its full potential. I mean its great that it is very quick and responsive but what about personalization; backgrounds, themes, screensavers. Will one phone look just like another?

@elsanchokaki It is origional. The web browser is slow and sucks. The OS doesn't run on any decent hardware with even any CLOSE to decent screen resolutions. Software solutions have not been able to exist on their market (because they had none) from developers. Even the browser, which was taken from stock, still is not up to par with Android surely and definitely not Apple's iPhone or the WP7.

With the release of WP7, business users will need to give em up, since Office is so well supported.
