  • not to be harsh but he put it on himself y smell cocaine i mean he had a bright future and just threw it away im glad his mother is a very strong women

  • Very sad, but I dunno about people saying "he could have been better than Jordan" or "the lebron before lebron". If a man is prone to make mistakes like this with drugs, partying, it's his own life, sure, but I think even if he survived this incident, there would be many more while with the Celtics and beyond. I doubt he had the mindset to be one of the greats in the pros.

  • @zachandthemachines it was social drug use , something he did with his friends , no one knows what wouldve happened in the NBA

  • imagine GOD was creating a bball team in heaven len bias went to play for the angeles of heaven vs the demonss of hell so is gathers and reggie lewis and thier winning thats how i think about so i wont get mad

  • the lebron before lebron. RIP

  • @Sportingista18 i doubt it lenny would have won a championship lol

  • Very very sad...

  • I live in P.g and people still talk about this...sad

  • He would have fathered countless Niggers by now.........all in all! SCORE! :D

  • No words...unspeakable sadness

  • imagine him with the celtics with larry bird and them? as a chicago bulls fan they would have given our bulls 90's dynasty trouble.

  • @animetrix90 if he was alive there wouldn't be any dynasty!!!

  • I was 8 years old when this happened & never forgot Len Bias. He could have been Jordan Big. We could have been wearing Bias sneakers along with Jordan's. R.I.P. Len Bias.

  • Talk about a HUGE waste of talent. All that talent wasted on a retard druggie (redundant but who cares). If only the the guy had any brains, he would still be alive.

  • @gamelvr1 Get the fk off your high horse, you ignorant buffoon. Go talk to someone who was alive and cognizant at the time and they'll tell you they had no clue the impact drugs could have on you. Crack cocaine was an EPIDEMIC that started in the 80s and destroyed neighborhoods and lives. Go education yourself before you decide to pass judgment on others. You aren't better than anyone!

  • @eyeswideopen86 Crack cocaine has been illegal since the 1960s in the US you retard . Anyone and everyone who has done it since then are brainless retards. Even if the health risks were extremely well known, it doesn't make bias any less of a brainless retard for doing it. If the guy had ANY brains, he'd still be alive.

  • @gamelvr1 Don't reply to me you uneducated, judgmental, swine. You have nothing to add or correct to what I said. Let's examine your life and see what choices you made and will make. Get over yourself. Cocaine could have been illegal since the dawn of time that doesn't change my initial point. I feel sorry for you. You are obviously a miserable human being to go online and trash a dead man and call stranges "retarded" I hope you don't end up having a loved one if your life who is "retarded."

  • @gamelvr1 It's legality is not the issue. You are extremely ignorant of crack cocaine's impact on American history.

  • death is always sad...race creed religion...its not bias

  • The Celtic's could have had a dynasty in the 90's as they did in the 80's- would have been greater than the Montreal Canadiens.

  • I remember when Len Bias died. It was on the front page of the newspaper and I lived on the other side of the country!! I mean it was all over the news, non-stop. I remember asking my dad who Len Bias was and how could he die from a drug, my dad just shook his head, and said, "that's all it takes." That's when I grew up concerning drugs and the evil they can do.

  • he would have been lebron james before lebron len rip i wish u would have lived and became a laker not a celtic

  • he stupiid

  • Celtics didn't need him anyways

  • Comment removed

  • @camchik:

Len Bias was a Christian too, and so is his family. Drug use occurs everywhere, including the church.

  • reverend jessie jackson soured this moment

  • HE COULD'VE BEEN THE GREATEST PLAYER EVER BUT WE'LL NEVER KNOW

  • Is there a whole movie with Len Bias? I was a teenager when crack cocaine made its appearance in th eurban community. I knew so many ppl whose lives were destroyeed by the epidemic. the 80s were something else.

  • how many more championships could the celtics have won. we could all have been wearing his shoes instead of air jordans

  • sad..........

  • took the celtics damn near 20 years to recover, len could have been a serious rival for mj,then the brother gets killed too

  • @sportstalk23 more than 20 years

  • This is what makes this story so sad and interesting/ he left so much to the imagination to what his ability could have brought to the NBA/ not only is this an unfortunate case with both Len and Jay Bias, it goes to show that one bad mistake could ruin a person's life forever/ R.I.P. -l-

  • @bigdpotts that decision, or those sets of decisions, ruined his whole family. Jay's death was almost a suicide. sooooo sad still. I grew up in d.c., so I didn't see jordan, until he got to the league. He did leave much to wonder about, r.i.p lenny. It was never a question in my mind. I have never done coke, because this was all the evidence that my young mind needed to 'just say no' lol

  • @bigdpotts With the Celtics actually, that day the history of the Celtics turned from winners to losers, i'm still waiting the Celtics come back to be better than the Lakers again (in general not only like in 2007).

  • These 30 for 30 things are awesome and I have seen everyone of them.

  • my cowork told me about this 30 for 30 today and this was my 1st time watching. i loved it. this guy looked as if he would have been the best ever instead of jordan. total waste of a life. very sry for the family and the lost of their 2 sons.

  • i really didnt know who he was but i think this happened for a reason. he is remember by many people and is a lessen for many to learn from. he had it all

  • My mom at 1:37 holding the white Tee shirt, and my mom and Dad at 2:00 with the T-Shirt again. I got that shirt in my living room

  • @TJHARTJE really?

  • @patsfan1228 Yessir

  • sure and im superman

  • Thats cool

  • @TJHARTJE Your mom was a hot piece of ass in 86.

  • @Bas2thesem She wishes she could say the same now

  • Was that John Salley at the end?

  • Yes- check the ears - Spider came out the following year....

  • yeah cuz magic's hiv didn't get any coverage at all.

the len bias thing wasn't really about boston. if anything, it was about how f*cked up the drug culture was at that time. it didn't matter if he was drafted by boston, milwaukee, or any other team.... it was a tragedy that transcended city or team.

  • heartless

  • len bias :(

  • this 3030 stuff is looking really good i have to try and catch it is this going to be a movie or is it on already i dont see it

  • Tonight at 8 on ESPN

  • Had Bias not died, the Celtics would have continued their dominance well into the 80s. Remember, they also lost Reggie Lewis a few years after that. 2 players killed on the same team. That rocked that team for a long time.

  • cant wait for this one

  • I think the celtics of the 90's would be better with him

  • bravo ESPN
