im so glad we did this for him

it was a real class act by the organization

    RIP Luc Bourdon

  • that is really powerful, an arena with 20000 people in it, everyone quiet. It doesn't seem possible, does it? So unreal...

  • @messa5 someone in that arena obviously has lost someone special in their life at some point you would hope everyone would have respect but to see that silence is amazing in the type of world we live in now.

  • i hate the pengs but what they did for luc is just a straight up class act

  • As do I, Tyrone, but that WAS a class act on their part...which as a Flyer fan, is rare for me to see from them.

  • Aww he wuz my kris letangs best friend :(

  • 083226 is right. That was a class act by the Pens and their fans. Very respectful and quiet, especially considering it was a playoff game.

  • what happened to this luc player?? im not a hockey fan can someone explain to me how he died?

  • During the off-season, Luc bought himself a powerful motorcycle. Apparently it was too powerful -- he lost control of the bike and rode headlong into traffic.

No alcohol or drugs were involved, from what I've read.

  • it had nothing to do with being too powerful. he was taking a sharp turn and driving under 35 mph but the road was wet from a rain storm and the bike slid out from under him forcing him into the opposite lane where a semi was coming at too fast of a rate to slow down. it was not too powerful for him.

  • @MarineSmileyCentral well why would you care then???? explain please.

  • Class act Pittsburgh. Thank you. RIP Luc.

  • that was a crazy atmosphere during the game, but you could have literally heard a pin drop 3 blocks away from the arena during that moment of silence.

  • no, i was outside at the jumbotron and nobody was being quiet i almost cried i was so upset

  • awee thanks From a Canucks fan... Pittsburgh and Detroit for being so supportive. RIP Luc.

  • hed died in a crash

  • Yes, he died in a crash... Was this a question, or a statement?

  • On behalf of all Canucks fans we'd like to thank Pittsburgh fans for the extreme class you've all showed! That was extremely silent and respectful. Good luck to the Pens!

  • @skyflame000 no problem and i can alomst guarantee u any pens fan watching at home was silent too ik i was...RIP Luc Bourdon

  • Tonight was the Vancouver Canuck's official tribute to LB. It was really sad seeing his Mom and girlfriend there. Earlier in the day Team1040 radio was interviewing his girlfriend who was in Vancouver for the tribute and her voice was so quiet and sad. It was hard not to get a lump in my throat listening to her. Such a tough one for the people of Shippagan and the surrounding area.

  • Tonight (10/10/2008) is the Manitoba Moose season opener, and they will have a tribute to Luc as well.

  • Right on. Manitoba fans will do well for him!

  • rest in peace Luc Bourdon you will be missed by the Canucks and the Pens you will be with us and hopefully be with the Canucks or Penguins when either of us win the stanley cup this year.

  • One of Luc's best friends, Kris Letang, plays for the Pens. The fans and the community were well aware of the Luc's accident.

    RIP Luc. God Bless.

  • watch fleury too. they played together in the world juniors. he looks pretty upset... :(

  • Kris and Luc were best friends and roommates in juniors.

If anyone was wondering why Kris isn't shown it's because he skipped game three to go to Luc's funeral.

  • class

  • Its sad to see the best player of all time leave so early in his career :(.

  • wow what class by those fans..

    nice.

    R.I.P

  • He may be gone from our world but he will never be gone from our hearts. May he Rest In Peace. Who's with me on this one? For luc! Come on people!
