  • The reason is that this is an old model, you can see the new models if you search for "pocket projectors" and select the 3M website.

  • "This video is unlisted. Only those with the link can see it" but 283,764 people seen it.

  • 0:47 is that ashens?

  • Sounds good to me. I could easily set this up in my home theater. Does it support HDMI? If not I can settle with regular composite for I have the Western Digital Media player in my home Theater. I got rid of my DVD player and have no need to have a hundreds of DVDs taking up space so now I just rip my DVDs onto a server on my network and store my DVDs in a cardboard box.

  • 3M Mpro sings for you:

    "Wherever you go

    Whatever you do

I will be right here waiting for you

    Whatever it takes

    Or how my heart breaks

I will be right here waiting for you" (8)

  • Terrible lol! The screen on the wall is only just bigger than the laptop screen. Just show the bitch the laptop screen

  • hahaahahaha the size of the screen is about the same as the laptops. this is crap

  • hey guys... is it disposable?

  • I'm not sold. Not until they can develop one that creates a 3D hologram in mid air.

  • please send me a link to buy it. id like to give it a try.

    good video.

  • But use this can big screen on 2m screen wall ?

  • doess it have remote

  • That thing is HUGE

Mine can fit in my pocket, has 4gb built in, 20,000 hour blub life span, shows up to 80 inches, can hook up to my computer, TV, and anything else and is DLP

i think u made a bad purchase sorry to say

  • What kind is yours? and it has 4gb, of what? built in memory? Does it play video without a source input?

  • @janoman911 which one do you got?

  • Lol i thought he said "its designed for both business and homies.."

  • hahaha

  • I do not understand why you continue to try and defend this product. You have no connection to 3m, You didnt direct this commercial, and You can't hold a civilized debate. I have rewatched the commercial and found even more flaws. I do not feel the need to bring them up, but if you have no desire to keep any diginity you had in technological workings, Please reply.

  • Terribly made commercial.

Commentor says that this product can support up to 50 inches but the commercial shows no greater than 12 inches at any given time. This is compounded by the fact that projectors are used for the sole purpose of showing an image on a bigger size than the screen.

Another problem was the mention of gaming consoles, then showing a psp, one of the only gaming consoles that lacks any video adapter whatsoever.

Piss poor marketing, the director should be fired.

  • Agree on all points.

  • I believe they meant 50 inches like in screen size.

  • Like square inches? I meant screen size too. It still seems a little small to me.

  • Working in adverse conditions, Projected on an ordinary wall this is great. Most laptops can't do 1280x768 res. or have any better picture in these conditions. It's not showing it at full 50" size it's capable of w/ a screen in perfect light conditions Butthole. It'd have to be 4ft further away for that!

This thing is just $200, so it's not going to outperform a $3000 Projector with the ability to put out 3000 LM necessary for these conditions to show a great picture! xD

  • @HummyButthole

You are so clueless, maybe you need a brain transplant. Just for your info..... PSP 3000 does support video out and apparently the PSPGo does as well. Not to mention PS3 and X360 (w/ adapter). On top of that, if you think that picture on the wall is 12", better get new glasses or an eye transplant while you're at it! xP ...that notebook is 14"diag at most. His foot is 12" so that screen is well over 20" diagonal! ;)

  • I dont know what connection you have with this video but the psp is specifically not meant to be displayed on a monitor or projector. Its resolution is already strained on its screen. There are 3rd party adaptors for the psp, but they are shotty at best, which is why it isnt displayed in the video. Yes, the ps3 or xbox360 would have been fine, but they're NOT PORTABLE SYSTEMS. Every game system since atari has used video out, They could have shown an n64 and made a better point.

  • Not the PSPGo! :D ......it's GPU is very capable of displaying full OpenGL ES 2.0 spec'd graphics. Try that on your laptop? haha

This is not meant to solve the World's problems on a shoestring budget! lol

It serves it's purpose w/ portability on a budget. For that, you can't defend your flaming queen comments against it, MikeHummyButthole!!! ;)

BTW... seems you are unpopular on YT for spreading your viral marketing propaganda. From your channel comments! :D ..oh & do you?

  • I know my information first hand; I own many game systems, including the psp. You took your information from erroneous sources, showing that you haven't the slightest idea about technology. Laptops, circa 2006, CAN support 1280x768, and considering it was used for a "Business meeting" They would have the latest laptop and a better projector than this $200 poorly advertised junk. Please refrain from using smileys and insults when discussing "facts" Especially if theyre errored wikipedia repastes.

  • Well you don't own a PSP Slim or PSP 3000 or PSP Go. They are capable of outputting to an HDTV at least, in Wii's Wimpy 480P res. With a Lenkeng LKV-8000 w/scaler chip, these PSP's can display Full 720P full screen graphics on an HDTV. Go to hdmi01. com and you'll see it listed.

I'm playing on my 65" HDTV with my PSP 3000 right now.... lol ...and it looks fab. If you really want to discuss facts. The POINT is, having that Reality slapped in your face, must not feel very good! :P

  • Where can you buy one, if you have a proper PSP? ....this is a sample I'm using and a friend is going to be selling these on ebay, after his first shipment arrives! ;-)

  • Why dont you show us then ? Make a video of you, Playing your PSP 3000 on a 65" HDTV, With Full 720P.

Since You say youre doing it right now, It shouldnt be too much of a hassle right?

You know why? Because that connection would never work. Psp Games are at a set resolution, Just as most handheld system's games. It will not display properly, Or at all.

Again, If youre going to say something, At least make it believable. Also, you have given up on defending the projector. Way to lose.

  • Search the phrase "PSP Video Out" on youtube and google. You want your proof? It's all over the freakin internet! Sure, I've made some silly [sounding] statements here, but you look even more the fool by continually stating that it does not support video out; when clearly every single gaming site and spec sheet on the say the PSP 2000 and PSP 3000 support video out at 480p native resolution. Now, can we get back to the projector? Even @ 12" lets see you try to pack a 12" screen in your pocket...

  • Silly? I havent lied a single time.

You come here, Defending a shitty commercial for no reason, Lying, and insulting me, and for what? To still be unable to defend your view? Give it up, This was made by a lowest bidder producer who handled the gadget for less than a day. Thats pathetic, are you telling me the convienence is fitting a shitty projector in my pocket?

Let me liken this product to a cellphone for you to understand.

Cell phone technology has advanced to a point where

  • a cellphone could be integrated into a bluetooth headset and dialed by voice. The problem with this is that you will not have the same call quality or reception that you would with a handheld model. Sure, It could fit in my ear, but if it can't do its job right, What is the point of having it?

Regarding my statement about the psp video output, You can look at my initial response to you where I mentioned that it is possible, but only through third party hardware and works shotty at best.

  • First of all, I'm not defending the commercial, I'm defending the device itself; or rather [the concept] of a simple, portable device (made by any company), which you say is pointless. I completely agree with you in the fact that this commercial doesn't appear remotely professional. It's like an infomercial stuck in the 90s.

Second, the primary reason I jumped on you in the first place, was because you stated all PSP's do not have video out capability, as though it were fact.

  • That was a statement spawned from sheer, unabashed, ignorance and you continued to mindlessly defend it without doing any research whatsoever. I can say, for an absolute and undeniable fact, that the PSP 2000 and PSP 3000 have video out; the original PSP does not. That was my primary issue with you.

  • Also, video out on the PSP 2000 and PSP 3000 is an integrated 1st Party hardware feature and controlled by 1st Party firmware features. It requires absolutely 0 3rd party equipment whatsoever. All that is needed is to buy a simple, 1st Party, video out adapter cable for around $10 or less.

As for the projector; it does what it is designed to do, nothing more nothing less; that is, to give you a pocket portable screen whose display is larger than anything you can reasonable fit in your pocket.

  • The cellphone analogy is a bad analogy because they are already easily pocket portable to begin with. The PSP, at 480p is reasonable quality to display effectively on a larger screen. It's the same resolution as the PS2 and people play them on screens far larger.

As for the commercial, portraying it hooked up to a laptop with the same size display area, is indeed, a horrible representation. Although there have been times when I want to show someone something and not make them sit next to me.

  • Yeah were cool.

I really dont think whoever made this commercial knew that the psp could have a video out capability.

  • The application they're demonstrating here only demonstrates that you'd be better off looking at the LCD on the laptop--brighter, more saturated color, and about the same size.

It's very cool, but I'm waiting for one with a brighter output.

  • i have one , its great

  • The pico p is a 100 x better- these are

  • I'm still holding out till I can get a laser one.

  • Awesome video!

  • it actually looks pretty nifty in my opinion.

  • To All The Critics:

Do you really think that 3M, such a large, innovative and reputable company would really invest time and money in developing a useless product?

I think they deserve a bit more credit than that.

Battery life is not their fault, there's a monopoly over battery development, reason being, LiPol and Li ion cells for the Automotive industry.

Doing the same thing they did with oil.

Milking it for all its worth. Sad.

  • up to 1 hour only???

  • why do they sell these things before they figured out how to make the batteries last for 5 hours or so? they should make it bigger with more batter life and slowly make it smaller as the technology improves

  • slightly bigger and with 100 lumens and more battery life would be better

  • But is this worth buying, I saw it and i'm interested but the size of image looks so small :s

  • I love mine. I opened my up and adjusted focus so I could have a larger display. I also wen to see Star Trek early and used it projected from the back of the movie theater to the screen. It was so cool. It does suck with the lights on though. If you dont have one get one. CDWG has great prices.

  • this thing will really open up alot of the things that Johnny Lee is doing... look him up on youtube he really has alot of cool ideas.

  • OK, then! :)

  • very poor pq (pictuare quality) ¬_¬...

  • You own one...?

  • This an awesome concept video. but honestly the application is not there, he could turn his computer around and have a better quality presentation.

Give us some more distance on the thing with a real live "useful" application. :)

  • the display is too small for my liking

  • If I plug it into my iPod Touch, will I be able to surf the internet and see everything that is going on on my iPod, or will I only be able to watch videos that are on my iPod?

  • the function of a projector is to project whatever is on the device's screen, so it doesnt depends on what your ipod is doing. It will projects everything (if supported)

  • you would have to jailbreak your ipod touch and get this hack that a guy made to do that!

  • you can see everything

  • most likeley every thing sence its 'auto

  • Can the light be changed?

  • yes

  • nice video

  • better if can use ipod nano than laptop
