That fight was boring because Runweather wouldn't fight De La Hoya. It was Runweather running, while De la Hoya was trying to fight a running opponent. Clearly the decision was botched, even the ridiculous punch stats.
I believe that the only mismatch exist in the records. I mean, there is not a mismatch itself because it's about weight classes. JJ has a good record in that time
man Oscar was a good fighter, he only had problems with A class fighters or equal fighters, but he look great against B class fighters.
