Bostons are not suppose to get over 25lbs ~ When a Bostons is bigger than 25lbs usually there is a mix(even a small amount) in their blood line ~ Still a cutie though :-) ~

However, the Boston Terrier originally weighed up to 44 lbs before their downsizing to the current dog most people know today. You might want to familiarize yourself with the Olde Boston Bulldogge. Once familiarized you will know it is not due to mix breeding that Bostons sometimes end up being over 25 lbs.

Our dog does the same thing, it's soo funny! Try hanging a toy around a door handel, they will go crazy and actually lift their legs up trying to pull it off!!

There are some people who breed bostons up to 35lbs, it's not the AKC Standard, but they can get bigger. I have also see Boston Mini's.
