I would strongly encourage people not to use this app.

Remote access is cool and useful, the problem is that typically wireless security is poor and easily broken by unskilled hackers.

The problem here is highly compounded by the fact that VNC passes usernames and passwords in unencrypted clear text across the network.

Moral of the story is: If you don't want to make it a lot easier for malicious people to discover your passwords, DO NOT USE THIS APP!

is easy to break if you are using wep encryption try using wpa instead which is almost unbreakeable even for highskilled hackers...

WEP/WPA are encription standards for WIFI networks. Doesn't have anything to do with the possible safety risks involved with VNC.

you have to download a vnc server. on the computer and it has to be running while you do this. also you type in the ip adress givin when you download the server (sounds confusing but you will understand wen you dowwnload the server . the application is called vine server . so search that and download it . its free

I'm running VNC lite on my iPhone and Real VNC on my PC. It keeps telling me "Host has closed the session" after I hit connect.  I've turned off "Prompt local user to approve connections" within Real VNC, so I shouldn't be getting this error. We got that message when computer was on a password screen, make sure your computer is not locked and you logged in. No fear, you will make it work.

From run menu run cmd command, it will open dos prompt. In dos prompt type ipconfig, you should see your IP. Try to post issues directly on blog, it will help others.

Port forwarding will be needed if you want to use this application from outside your local network. I.e. if you use the wifi on the phone to connect to your PC you wont need port forwarding. But if you use the 3G or the wireless from outside your home network, you would need to set up port forwarding on your router... Pretty amazing app btw, if I needed any other reason to get an IPhone, this is it :D Nice work.

two things: 1. Try to reboot iPhone (hold home and power for a while, you will get slider to power iPhone off), restart.

2. If option 1 did not work, try to remove/uninstall the app and then install it again. Things are definitely buggy but manageable.
