Thank you very much for your insightful video set to Don MacLean's awesome tribute to Vincent Van Gogh. We sang this in chorus when I was in high school ... I think I love it even more today than I did 40 years ago. My experiences in my own life have made me appreciate Van Gogh's anguish so much more. Thank you, again, for putting this lovely video together and sharing it with us. It is very much appreciated!
This song was my greatest challenge during my English learning years... I'm Brazilian and thanks to this beautiful work of art, I have studied lots of English, just to make sure I would understand each word. Thank you Don, and thank you (rockwithstone) for posting this great piece of art on the net.
I can't understand the hate some have. If you don't get Van Gogh, then how could you possibly understand Don for trying to put to words what he felt? Why are you even here is my question?
I pray some google geek reads this. I have listened to this same clip numerous times on you-tube. I have bought the Lp, the cassette, have the cd right now. You greedy fucking pricks deserve a slow death for killing the one nice things that us and our children have- a free internet. For lack of a better term- I declare Jihad on all of your sorry asses. Whatever you advertise, I spit on.

Paintings are beautiful. But the music behind them? Icck. Can't even see if whoever the no-talent trying to sing through this, is shaking his butt, has gold teeth, or at least resembles Justin Bieber. Whoever it is needs to get some coaching if he's still trying to make it in today's popular music. Their idea of musical and lyrical talent 30 years ago, was certainly pathetic.
I love Vincent and I loved this song ...since I was a little girl, I learned to play it on my guitar. This video is beautiful, thank You so much, this has been a real Christmas present to me......
nice painting man! ahaha.. it fits in the song!! many thanks to you man! i thought that no one will upload this kind of video!! this is my favorite song for lifetime!
Imposible no sentir que se encoge el corazón con esta melodía y la remembranza de un gran artista super sensible e incomprendido. Murió en la miseria y ahora sus cuadros son los mas costosos... Que ironía!
@shittoh It's John Peter Russell's "Portait of Vincent van Gogh" in 1886. I got it from Google Image. BTW, what is the name of the female group on top of your channel? Where can I find out more info on them? They are lovely.

@roskilde111 He's not trying to make it in today's popular music. He made it, a long, long time ago. Who, in your opinion, is better?

Thanks for sharing such a great tune with fantastic imagery of Vincent‘s work. Great video!
A very sad song reflecting his unfortunate state of mind, if only he knew he would be such a success. Bedankt Vincent.............RIP
