Dude im 12 and i used to watch this video when i was like 4 and 5 haha i still have it on vhs and just a few months ago i rode it it was pretty awesome.
wow i got on kumba, shiekra and montu under 5 min. really!all 3 of them are B&M'S but the place wouldn't be the same if they just kept scorpian and python
i hope this hasnt lost its 'bling' over the years. they should make it floorless! in fact i think all B&M sit down coasters should be made floorless just to give that better experience
I found that I bump my head against the restraints quite alot, on coasters like Mantis, Raptor, and Kraken. It's just the design of B&M over-the-shoulder restraints. If find that if I don't want to bash around, I hold on to the handles, keep my head back, and follow into the turns. It makes for a much smoother ride. I remember getting off Mantis after bashing around once, I felt so dizzy I couldn't stand, much less walk the entire lenghth of the park back to our car. :)
im not sure about raptor as i found that very smooth with very very little head bashing, but i couldnt agree with you more on mantis. the restraints come down more near your head than your shoulders, so you really can get a good bashing. as for kraken, i havent been onit, but ive been on hydra and medusa, other floorless designs and found them to be immensely comfortable! i guess that was just me, though
that is true most of the time there isnt any line like when my school went like the whole sixth grade that went to bush gardens including me went on it at the same time.
tkumba is basically a knock-off version of scream..or vice versa...btw ive been on both, and i think kumba is better...its just the setting is nicer..scream had no theme..it was just put on the extra parking lot literally..
Other way round. And what you're saying about the setting is completely wrong. I'd rather see Khan with the great wall of china and an imperial village area than a lake which can be found anywhere, and some ruins which can also be found on any existing ride.
Scream isnt a Kumba knockoff, Scream is a mirror version of Medusa at Six Flags Great Adventure. And while all this company's coasters are similar to each toher in one way or another, theyre not copie or knockoffs or whatever.
@Petpatrol2 Yes you are correct. Kumba, medusa, bizarro, scream, kraken, dragon khan all have different layouts, (except for scream and bizarro),yet the order of when each inversion appears is the same. Loop, dive loop, zero g roll, cobra roll, and interlocking corkscrews,(sometimes a second loop),. I still wouldent say that B&M copied there own coasters, because the batman coasters are not custom, it is actually an official model layout. Things like manta are custom, so no rides can be the same as it
@Gshoven When Kumba opened, Viper at Six Flags Magic Mountain still had the world's tallest loop (140 feet); Kumba had the world's "largest" loop, the distinction having to do with the radius of the vertical loop (or track length of the maneuver or something), because Viper's loop, despite being high off the ground, is still average in size. Kumba's loop begins and ends right around ground level.
medusa is way better

I'm sorry, that is NOT a camelback at 0:19. It's a COBRA ROLL.

The back seat of this ride is the best.
It goes so fast in the back.

There's never a line on this thing. You can go on it 5 times in 10 minutes.
ukprince9 2 years ago
cuz ppl are too afraid to go on it
oshilzl 2 years ago 2
You sure about that? There are hour long lines for Sheikra and Montu and those are far scarier than Kumba.
One thing I will say about Kumba is that it hurts to ride it. You'll bash your head a few times before it's over. But, for some reason, I enjoy that!
ukprince9 2 years ago
yeah for some reason it's a really scary ride
oshilzl 2 years ago
wow i must have gone on a good day! Lol all of the rides except sheikra i got on in under 10min. So i rode them non stop!

I thought Scream! was a knock of version of Dragon Kahn.
And Dragon Kahn in just an improved Kumba.
OJ247 3 years ago
No, Dragom Kahn is more like Kraken at seaworld, but Kraken has a better theme and setting, and a lake near the first drop, thats a good ride to me.

1) I didn't say they're copies. I said Scream is a Mirror version of Medusa, which it is.
2) Even B&M Makes copies sometimes, the batman: The Ride coasters are all clones.
