As I recall from their Worldes Blisse CD, they took ancient texts and converted them into song.... YAY Mediaeval Baebes! :) Truly great vocal talent keeping elder stories alive!
Their music and voices are so...soothing,relaxing,calming, and enchanting. Really helps you get away and clear your head with out going any where. Never get tired of listening to them. Thank you ladies. :)
@Darkrose517 No, it's a crackling sound that isn't in the original version's of these song's. The owner of this video even said it wasn't in the original... probably some interference in the upload.

It is not Old English.
Old English = Anglo Saxon and would hardly be heard in other music than that of peseantry after the conquest of the Normans.
So it would be Middle English.
carinha40 1 year ago
It's Middle English, like what Chaucer wrote:
A povre widwe somdeel stape in age, was whilom dwellyinge in a narwe cotage, beside a grove, stondyinge in a dale. This widwe, of wych I telle you me tale, sin thilke day that she was last a wyfe, had in full patience led a symple lyfe, for litel was hir catel and hir rente, by husbondrie of swich as God hir sente, she fund hirself and eek hir doughtren two....
