I bought an I-cybie off ebay. It was suppose to be NIB, but the battery lasts only a 1/2 hour. Is that normal?

no, the batteries should last a few hours. Did you charge it for the recommended time before turning it on?

Yeah. He worked fine at first. But than he'd last only around a 1/2 hour, sometimes less. Actually, I've been reading this other website, and I think I overcharged it. :(
