launch on the yellow it takes the tree a second to go green and a second for the car to be in motion once you step on it, good run noticed the crazy wheel spin try your next run on slicks well done

@peppermann I DID a 13.5@98MPH in My astro van AWD N/a getting stainless headers and progamable chip system next looking at a 12.5 easy @ mabey 105MPH hard to rais top speed in a Van but AWD is all about the launch

@mathyu0179123232 not quite positive told My brother to make it faster,fuel system modified injection intake and exhaust it's a cargo no windows no interior took the passenger seat out air conditioner was out jack spare tire an Astro AWD is a Syclone (12.5Quarter mile off the assembly line)without turbo or inter-cooler looking for a delivery they are 8 inches shorter and even lighter being they are not full frame like the Typhoon or Syclone

some of the ultimas seem to be claiming low tens or even high 9s, what is the difference with your car? I saw another one running 11s, it seemed to have a very high terminal speed, is it just your particular suspension/tires? or are the 9-10 second ultimas running much higher horsepower?

@toranamunter Hi there. No, it's not the bhp. Mine should have done a low 10 but never did (driver was the weak link). a second gear start and just enough wheelspin is the trick I hear, but it's easier said than done ! Thanks for watching !

i was really enthusiastic about this car and was seriously thinking about build one. But searching in forums, sites, i see that all the people have this car before or late sell it, get off it. You for familiar reasons (i wish you all the best); CJ.. even, but the fact is that everybody get off this car. even the sites or links are old or non working.. (even that one you linked in ur last car vid).

This is sad.. I'm not so sure yet to begin this adventure, it's sad

11.5 at 132mph? I presume you lose a lot on the start due to being rear wheel drive? My Evo with 600bhp is a full second quicker than that with the same terminal, and that's with a normal gearbox resulting in slow gearshifts. I thought the Ultimas were quick in a straight line? (sorry not being rude)

this is a supercar and a kit car and the most powerful version is the ultima maxximus g force u can look up the specs but it has 1600hp

Hi ! Am from Telford. Unfortunately the car has now been sold (divorce - bummer eh - losing the car that is, not ex wife !). Will build another later this year (money permitting...) so hope to be back there in 2010 :o)

I'm looking into getting one of these myself but I'm undecided on engine options. I had a mail back from Richard today which assures me the standard 300-350bhp can be easily improved without having to swpa the whole engine. I think I need to book a factory visit soon.

Cool car. But a tuned diesel is cooler. Take a cummins put $30k into it and you will give this car a good run for its money in the quarter. There are a lot of guys running under 12 with street legal trucks and no more then $50-$60 k into the whole buildup. Like I say, cool car but I'll stick with my cummins. It pulls my boat a lot better

You guys all miss my point. It is a cool car but a sleeper tuned diesel is much more of a surprise. Imagine a work truck that daily drives and tows trailers. Put it on the track and run low 11s. Sure this car turns better and stops quicker. But in case you all didn't notice, this video is on a drag strip where non of the above apply. All I said was a tuned cummins could give this car a good run. Never even said it coud beat it. Man you guys are sensitive, U'd think ur scared of losing. LOL

Should be running low 10s on normal tyres - it's the driver that is the weak link ! Ran a 10.5 at Santa Pod mid year. The Factory run 9.9 in pretty much the same car :o)

Mate you did well, getting a solid launch from a street car takes a lot of practice. What a fantastic car, very inspirational.

Tip: once you cross the line just drop it into neutral and slowly ease on the brakes in the braking zone.

This is not entirely accurate.

The Atom is similar 0-60, but a lack of power and poor aerodynamics mean it has a top speed of under 150. The Ultima can top out over 200.

And remember, this is the 640hp variant. People have built these with turbocharged aluminum V8s that produce up to 1,000HP with similar or reduced weight.

Your video is superb. You've obviously know how to ride and you've got no fear - I reckon you are close to 200mph in places ! Great stuff !!!

The IOM course is awesome. Went there to watch this year but next year me and the GTR may well be there. Keeping up with the bikes is another thing entirely .. !
