I miss this game, I wish that I still owned a PS2.

I loved how the game was set during ww2 era but mechs were invented.

I really liked how the mechs were very similar to old tanks.

Not very fast, but equipped with a large cannon.

Now, you can purchase this game on the psn store. It's weird but now psn store has ps2 games so I'm assuming sony must have did an update to make it possible for the newer ps3 consoles to play ps2 games.

Even then Ring of Red has some known glitches.

Not that Front Mission has a monopoly on turn based mech strategy games, but this reminds me a lot of Front Mission 3. I may have to check this out though.

I'm replaying this game right now. It's a beast of a game. As far as strategy games go, it's one of the most engaging, deep, yet accessible games I've ever played. A true gem. Extremely underrated tho. The gameplay is pretty much flawless in my opinion

@ZenMasterT07 Repetitive, but flawless. The idea of being all about strategy knowing when to attack, when to escape and what strategies to use in each battle made it so hard and difficult. You have to know what you are doing, otherwise you're dead.

I wish they would port this to the psp or psn. This game is soooooo awesome!!!!!!!! I remember playing this back in the day. I never finished it though.  I love how you can have crewmen on the back of the vehicle.

I can't believe I missed this game because I am a huge strategy guy. But I recently saw a copy for 8$ and picked it up. I am only at the beginning but I love the tension you feel in the battles, every shot counts. I would have loved a vs mode for2 player action!

I bought a used copy for 3.99 few month ago. When I bought it I had no idea what the game was about or even heard about it. I just bought it cause I thought the cover was catchy and i used to see this game all the time at any store back in the days. I just figured that it's something that is really hard to find these days so I just grabbed it. Now, seeing all these positive comments makes me really glad cause I have the chance to experience it

Just an amazing game, I own it and it is a shame that Konami never made a follow up to this game. The game's graphics make me feel almost like a late gen PS1 game that got ported to the PS2 on the 11th hour, but I don't mind because the gameplay and animation really delivered.

in addition... the old one was the beezneez. i remember it being one of the earlier titles (or at least it was one of the first i had) and I loved it. an easy 50+ hours went into this one for me which is quite rare nowadays. i have a ps3 now and would love even an HD remake. one can hope, for now i'm thinking about bidding on an original on ebay and play it on ps3.............

Great game, very adictive, it's a shame it had sub N64 graphics, even for the 2001 standards, but it's good that it takes very loing to finish it.

Front mission games are better. Mostly because of the story and mech designs. ROR has potential to be just as good. Not sure if there was ever a sequel.

hmm.....they probably are. ive played this game for about 10-15 hours and it gets pretty repetitive....but yea like you said it has potential to be a good game. well anyway, im playing the MGS seires right now and im on MGS2(never played the series before) its pretty awesome! :D
