  • But... Why the accordion?

  • Assalamu alaikum(Arabic) = Shalom Aleichem (Hebrew)

  • Comment removed

  • This is not ok!

  • @cherrysia1

Why? If they were promoting something violent, terrorism based, racist, crude and vulgar, or just inappropriate and not G Rated I would understand, how is saying "We bring you peace" through the medium of music not ok?

  • Beautiful tribute to Israel. Todah Rabbah.

  • shalom aleichem! mozel tov!

  • THE TRUE MESSIAH IS JESUS CHRIST THE SON OF GOD .

  • @TheMikhael999 u mad bro?

  • @TheMikhael999 Honestly man, I'm Catholic and this gots nothing to do with Jesus, Judaism or Christianity it's just a kids song, so go take your religious extremism and stick it up your culo.

  • What a nice "Shalom Aleichem" Song by The Wiggles!

And BTW... LOL! When you see Anthony the Blue Wiggle landing on his back and into the sand, at the end of this song.

  • i've been looking for that bella bombina (or however it's spelled LOL) song forever!

  • @YellowMellowJello It's "Balla Balla Bambina." The audio version is on youtube, but no one has downloaded a video of it. You can find the song on the DVD "Toot Toot" and it is also on the "Lights, Camera, Action" TV Series 3 DVD.

  • @radiologytechgirl Thank you! Good memories! I wish someone would post it! LOL! I've also been looking for this one Irish song. Diddly dum or something. Sorry, it was so long ago!

  • @YellowMellowJello I think you mean "Di Dicki Do Dum" which was taped with child Irish dancers. The audio version has been downloaded twice on youtube, and there is one actual video, but it is rather poor quality. The song was originally on the DVD "Dance Party." All these older songs and DVDS are wonderful. I don't think they can be beat!

  • download link please???

  • Someone call Captain Kirk and Captain Sparrow their uniforms are missing

  • OH LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I suppose Disney in trying to make up for Walt :-)

  • I suppose Disney in trying to make for Walt :-)

  • Where are the dancers supposed to be from? :)

Their pronunciation needs work, but its cute!

  • poop

  • is it supposed to loop?

  • Anthony is so fun to watch!

  • wat does shalom aleichem mean?

  • @someaussiedude

Literally, "Peace unto you," but less literally, "Welcome."

  • They place this at my synogouge to the little kids

  • ha thats gewish

  • @someaussiedude not to split hairs, but your spelling would be pronounced goo-ish. The correct spelling is Jewish.

  • @davegooley .sry hat was my son asking you, he is 10, and my other son is 2 and he like's to watch the shalom alichem video, thank you

  • what the hell does that mean

  • they should have worked on their pronunciation. and where are those dancers supposed to be from?

  • is that an Ukrainian dance?

  • Anthony's kinda doing the jerk there.

  • 2 times? 1 time please just 1 time not 2 times

  • thats from the 1998 video yummy yummy and the 2001 video wiggly play time

  • 2 times! COME ON!!!!

  • is this disney's way of saying they really do like jews.... hummmmm

  • FghhfgZfv jkejejejeupwlwlqwtbrebkx lnan

  • Greg is too hot <3

  • @LadyRathbone MINE.

  • @LadyRathbone How old r u?!

  • @TheTheCutiePie I'm 20 but I've got a little sister.She's 4 years old.

  • @paletinian: no yeshu doesn't you retard, stop reading the anti-semite propaganda crap...(btw yesha means "savior" in hebrew lmao, the word for "god" in hebrew is "el" so show me where you see "el" in yeshu lmao...this is the kind of lying crap we hebrews must put up with

  • oh lord... where do i begin with this video?

  • Fuck u all....

    u blinds israeliest

  • Its not a song about peace u all idiots,

Whe the jews occupied Palestine they sang this song while killing the women and children that left alone.

Go study and read u Idiots

  • @ThePalestine1948 Well maybe Hamas and all those other brave Palestinian folks should stop hiding behind the women and children, oh wait that would totally ruin the propaganda would'nt it?

  • @ThePalestine1948 - You said this song isn't about peace. But the title 'Shalom Aleichem' is exactly the same as 'salaam aleikum', 'peace upon you', in that other semitic language, Arabic. So are you saying the standard Muslim greeting doesn't actually mean peace upon you? Are you saying I-slam (=Salaam/Shalom) doesn't mean peace? Maybe you've been watching too many Palestinian state TV kids' shows.

  • I played this song backwards and i found subliminal messages..jeff said he wants your soul...

  • lmfaoo i know ritee i like this one too! :DD

  • Am I creepy if I actually enjoyed this? :P

  • @Lassielurv No you aren't, I enjoyed it also!

  • @Ammyai

    :P

  • @Lassielurv I would watch wiggles every day if they did more like this! Shalom!

  • @Ammyai

    Shalom!

  • It´s hebrew. It means 'The Peace be with you'. It's also the phrase Jesus said after resurrection when he appeared to his disciples in Jerusalem.

  • @slcsj DUDE, it's a jewish song it has nothing to do with that false name jesus was JEWISH HIMSELF! I got many ways to prove tht the jewish religon makes more sence then the christon's so STFU. btw it doesnt take rocket since to figure out is hebrew.

  • @KdM3Lak DUDE, all he said was what it meant, and that Jesus had said it, he didn't say anything about Jesus not being a jew, and he wasn't hating on anyone. Calm down, and leave slcsj alone. Geeze........

  • @TheAlecB123 What does it have to do with you for one, two that's coming from a man searching anything to do with the wiggle's on youtube. btw, Yesh I was harsh but I was angry at the time.

  • i did not know they did other song and soooo much lag today

  • i'm sorry i'm not very religious in any aspect, but what does "Shalom Aleichem" mean, and what religion is it?

  • @RyonsVids it means the peace be with you and its jewish and christian.

  • @ehflips888

so its Jewish and Christian... very good thank you!

  • watching it now remineds me how retarted i was back then...

but i loved the wiggles and i still do. , its better then all the crap kids watch theese days on tv!!

  • The Wiggles truly promote peace through the positive, non-violent lessons they teach our children! (E.g., the pirate's sword is a feather.) And kudos for taking a beautiful ethnic song and taking it to the whole world with their twist.

  • Could their pronunciation be any worse?!

  • LMAO at the end of the song when anthony just falls to the ground!

  • that girl has got some cornrows.

  • @ ThePalestine1948

It's a song about PEACE, so chill the F -out.

  • You won't get very far with that attitude...

  • @ThePalestine1948

maybe if you had songs about world peace they would sing it too.

the only thing you palasttinians talk about is bombs and eleminating anyone deffrent then you.

im not jewish, but i know that the palastinians are wrong, and dont deserve israel.

  • @rikki2200 We dont want Israel we want Palestine, and go learn how to write spell before u write u Idiot.

  • @ThePalestine1948

Oh, wow. You should have written:

"We don't want Israel; we want Palestine. Go learn how to spell before you write, you idiot."

Maybe you should learn punctuation and grammar?

  • The Jews, the people of God, acknowledging Jesus, the Lord as their only Savior. Jesus is the only road, the only Truth! God bless you!

  • @evangelista992 u wrong jews never ever acknowldge jesus, they call him yeshu which means ( may god erase his name). they only religion the acknowledge all prophets are the Islam, go read the Quran and see to ur self.

  • @ThePalestine1948 Yeah sadly the Muslims go by the word of the murdering, pedophile one.

  • EEP I LOVE THE WIGGLES :) I used to watch them all the time, and now they're singing a song IN HEBREW!!!!!!!!!! My dream come true

    ~Am Yisrael Chai

  • who not cool:( shalom aleichem

  • Greg is singing

  • So who is singing? the one in the yellow or the one in the blue shirt?

  • The singer is the Yellow Wiggle, Greg page, who was the voice and lead singer of The Wiggles from their inception in 1991 until he reluctantly retired in 2006. He was diagnosed with Orthostatic Intolerance, and stepped back in order to regain his health. He has now returned to the stage, and the tickets to his first show sold out within an hour.

  • ahhh okay =) thank you =)

  • @radiologytechgirl: its really sad:( he's actually my best friends uncle

  • @radiologytechgirl I hadn't heard Greg returned to the stage. Glad to hear that--I never liked Sam Moran.

  • @OutfieldAngel3669 I agree it's great that Greg is performing again & I definitely do not like moran. Since Sept 09 Greg has been playing solo concerts. In this way he can set his own pace and perform where & when he wants. Greg recently said that he feels he would become sick again if he returned to the Wiggles at this time. He is involved with many projects & you can find recent pictures, interviews & videos on Facebook at Greg Page fanclub & he has a "Greg Page Official Fan Page" there too.

  • @OutfieldAngel3669 Greg's back???

  • i love the tone of their voices, its very soothing =)

but yet, as an Ashkenazic descendant it reminds me of the outfits of Poland, not Israel. ^^; its really good for a child though =)

  • This song does sound Eastern European in origin, yes it may be in Hebrew but the structure's European.

  • @roguelead72 yes =) and i love this we usually sing it in schul for the beginning to welcome those who are there either for family or for their own benefit as well as bringing in the Shabbot =)

  • Trochę zabawne, ale skoro to dla dzieci to wydaje się być zrozumiałe - Szalom

  • I love Jesus, Io amo Gesù

  • @evangelista992 Eh? They do a bunch of Christian things too.

  • Dude, chill. No caps.

  • dude chill its not the Evangies fault they dont have the sense to understand that.

  • Is this Disney Chanel in Israel?

  • stop whinning this is for little kids not 4 u

  • what the hell is wrong with you???

  • are you serious right now ?

    like really ...

  • Excellent performance

  • Now I have seen everything.

  • isralestinian-gandhis org

  • shalom aleichem is a song they was first sung while walking together to temple. Now it is a happy song this is actually not the tradition way it is sung this is the happier carefree one. Check out the group Kinderlach's rendition...that is the tradition one. What I dont understand is what they are wearing that is not anything close to Jewish garb it looks polish or german. AM YISRAEL CHAI!

  • Colors and outfit of that "traditional" dancers are close to polish, but its not. Hats are really strange, and there is no such hats in poland. German? I do not think so - i think, that german colors should be darker, and again - hats are strange - even for south germany, but here I can mistake. Its pretty big shit, by the way. Now, i think - the chaisd (chasydzi) sing that song after blessings, before friday szabas meal - it's welcome to Angels presence in szabas time.

  • France? (Disney)

  • @trava

The outfits are verrrrrrrrry similar to traditional Norwegian folk outfits I have seen...there are not many Jews in Norway.

  • shalom aleichem is a jewish song that is sung every friday night welcoming in the sabbath

it means we bring peace unto you

  • they dont sing it over passover not as a tradition anyway

  • I think it means hello how r u doing friends...something like that (can't remember)

  • I love this song so much. Reminds me of hungarian folk.

  • i love this hebrew song

  • my

    little brother loves his song

    adam

  • If Shalom Aleichem is a Muslim greeting, what does is mean?

  • it's not muslim :|

  • It's Hebrew and it means hello.

  • It means 'peace be unto you.'

The arabic greeting is similar: "salaam alaikum."

  • it sounds like the muslim greeting?

  • Yes Muslim greeting is "Salaam Alechem"...Launguages so close. Unfortunate the people can't get along..

  • Yes, sung at all Jewish celebrations, means peace be upon you, one of my favourites.

  • are the wiggles jewish? just wondering.

  • I wondered the same thing and the Israeli poster is quite right, they haven't quite got it correct although they do a nice job.

  • No, none of The Wiggles are Jewish. anthony did teach in a Jewish pre-school after he got his degree, and I'm sure he came across many songs at this time.

  • A great song, for sure, and actually done well here - but what's with the barefoot dancing Hungarians?!

  • the Wiggles

    Anthony is Great Dancer

    Greg is Look together

    and singing I Love wiggles

  • My name is amy

    Greg are Good sing

    Anthony are your Best Friends

    from amy

  • what language is this?

  • Hebrew.

  • Hebrew

  • hi my name is Rebecca i love the wiggles

  • :24 Greg looks like he's sticking his tongue out. LOL!

  • tht'd b hott!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhh!!!

  • Great version!

  • anthony is a great dancer.

    greg is a great singer.

  • good but i didnt like the costumes they are slavic or scandinavian and not jewish

  • I work at a daycare center and the kids there love The Wiggles, so this song gets stuck in my head all the time. Thanks for posting it - now I can spread it to all my friends! X3

  • "Shalom" means "Hello" or "Peace"

  • I'm also from Israel and they do not do such a bad job of singing it, the only thing is they say only the first 3 words of the song and keep repeating that, but I was still impressed, the pronunciation and accent were good and hebrew is not their first languadge.

great job guys my daughter loves you guys!

  • its the WIGGLES and the song is for kids that are from all over the world. If they start singing in a different language i doubt kids (most of them) would know what they were saying. Plus the pronunctiation of the shalom and aleichem creates a catchy tune that is danceable...

  • I love this song so much. Reminds me of hungarian folk.

  • I miss the old season one, with the six dancers.

  • Halel4...you spell "rong" wrong....I am from Canada!

  • thank you for posting this video. my son loves this song.

  • What is the origin of the attire being worn?

  • they sing it rong im from israel
