  • "The Settlers in Hebron are the most EXTREME SETTLERS".

Adalah, do not think all zionists are like the settlers of Hebron.

  • The Hebron Jewish community of today moved into Jewish owned property from 1929, that was robbed by Palestinian rioters. Representatives of survivors from the massacre of 1929 have officialy granted today's Jewish community of Hebron rights to their property in Hebron. That is where settlements are bulit in Hebron. Also, in Peace House in Hebron, members of the Jewish community purchased the building from its former Arab owner, whose life was threatended by his fellow Arabs.

  • Why does AdalahNYC think the curfew was imposed in the first place? Might it have anything to do with the homecoming celebrations provided by the grandchildren of the Arabs that drove the Jews out of their homes in Hebron in the 1929 Arab massacre of their Jewish neighbors?

  • @cemberma - No, it's due to economic draining of the Palestinian economy, as is evidenced by the fact that olive farms and water sources are fenced off or simply taken to ensure that settlers can arrive and annexation can take place.

The curfew has no relevance to events in 1929 - that does not mean that the Hebron Massacre didn't happen, but then please, tell me, how does draining the economy have any relevance to the 1929 massacre?

  • Palestinian Arabs can thank the terrorists among them for the restrictions that they face. Any easing of restrictions unfortunately results in more terror attacks, like the murder of the four residents of Beit Haggai three months ago. Just as the Arab residents of Hebron feel that they have the right to live there, so do the Jews of Hebron have every right to live in this ancient Jewish city. If the Israeli government did not interfere, tens of thousands of Jews would live in Hebron.

  • @HCLieberman - What they do not have the right to do, however, is to attack schoolchildren on the way to their primary school, or run like lunatics through the city and attack the Arabs that do live there.; but then many of them also settled on occupied territory, which is illegal under international law.

Draining the Palestinian economy by shutting down shops and fencing off Palestinian water sources with the apartheid wall does not seem to be purely a security strategy...

  • @HalfLifeFan91 These "attacks" are primarily instigated by foreign provocateurs, who incite the Arab population against the Jewish community of Hebron. Jews have lived in Hebron for thousands of years until the Pogrom 1929, in which 67 Jews were massacred by Arab murderers. After 1967, when Jews returned to their old homes in Hebron, they returned as rightful residents, not occupiers. In response to heinous terrorist attacks during the Second Intifada (e.g. murder of Shalhevet Pass, murder

  • @HCLieberman of 12 Jews on 11/15/02, numerous shooting attacks from Abu Sneineh Hills), the Israeli Army had no choice but to restrict Arab movement in certain areas of Hebron. Innocent Arabs suffering from this have no one but the terrorists and murderers among their population to blame. As far as the West Bank fence goes, after 1,000 innocent Israelis were murdered by Palestinian terrorists (Fatah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad), Israel had to construct it.. Thank G-d, the fence has

  • @HCLieberman prevented many terrorist attacks. Again, those inconvenienced by the fence can only blame the numerous terrorists among the Arab population of Judea and Samaria.

  • @HCLieberman - They aren't "inconvenienced" - the theft of water resources from the Palestinians is unnecessary and serves no purpose in protecting Israel - even if we are to believe that the barrier successfully protects Israel. The barrier and the settlements also takes up much of the fertile land and even fences of entire communities. From the perspective of security, Israel has wasted time in adding all that extra wall - but then that's what leads us to believe that Israel....

    Continued.

  • @HalfLifeFan91 ...is not interested in security, but in A) damaging the Palestinian economy B) stealing the resources and C) handing those resources to the control of those settlers that are illegally residing in occupied land. Surely, if Israel were interested in security, then they would build the wall along the border, instead of mysteriously fencing off entire water resources and forcing Palestinians to search elsewhere for food and water? These are not "inconveniences".

  • @HalfLifeFan91 Unfortunately, as has occured in Hebron, Palestinian terrorists have attacked other Jewish Communities in Judea and Samaria, requiring Israel to protect these communities with the fence. While Israel has recently taken great security risks to ease travel restrictions imposed on Palestinians, terrorists have taken advantage of this to murder more Jews (e.g. the murder of the 4 residents of Beit Haggai 3 months ago).

  • @HalfLifeFan91 At 3:45, the Palestinian Arab in the video says "Too many people from Brooklyn, from the US". I guess its the Jews of Hebron who are the intolerant ones. For hundreds of years, when Hebron was under Arab, Ottoman and British control, Jews were not allowed to worship at the second holiest site in Judaism, the Cave of the Patriarchs. They were restricted to the infamous "Seventh Step". Now, under Israeli "Occupation", all people of all faiths are entitled to worship there.

  • @HCLieberman - Again, please tell me where their is a connection between the building of the fence and the 1929 Hebron Massacre. My concern is not with those who return to Hebron after facing the massacre of 1929 - my concern is with IDF-backed modern day settlers (some of which are non-Israeli Jews) that defy international law and build settlements on occupied land - or are you trying to suggest that all, or even a majority, of Hebron settlers are those who have lived in Hebron during 1929?

  • @HalfLifeFan91 The connection is between the security restrictions imposed in certain areas of Hebron and the plethora of lethal terror attacks perpetrated by Palestinian terrorists against the Hebron Jewish Community during the last decade. The connection is between the "Arafat Wall" in areas of Judea and Samaria and the murder of over 1,000 Israeli citizens by the many Palestinian terror organization. The connection is between Operation Defensive Shield and the Homocide Bombing campaigns.

  • @HalfLifeFan91 The connection is between Operation Cast Lead and the thousands of rockets and missiles fired at Israeli civilians by Palestinian terrorists in Gaza, after Israel evacuated all settlements in Gaza and handed that entire area over to the Palestinians as part of their state.
