  • IT WORKS! Everything is so simple. Tnx mery much!

  • IT WORKS! Evertyng is so simple. Tnx mery much!

  • @bgdrale say how its works?

  • You are perfect! It works! Thank you very very much!!!!!

  • when i write to usb how i come back my usb ?

  • @VAGELIS199 I don't understand but I guess you are trying to say "how can you get your microSD card to be readable again via USB?" Just put into your phone and format it. Done. It should be back to normal again.

  • anybody can help me?? i was about to copy the image to my mircoSD.. but i connect it using USB cable.. possible? or need to use card reader?

  • @EnG2385 Yes that's how i did it. You can use card reader or USB Storage mode. Make sure you reject the 32G storage incase you accidentally write the image on to it. Select your drive letter carefully.

  • @maxxikhmer thanks for the reply.. but.. after i write the image to my microSD card via mass storage.. the memory card turn to unsuppported format?is like corrupt after the write from windiskimage.. then next step is switch off phone and take out battery? guide me ^^

  • @EnG2385 yes it will work. Usb storage mode or using card reader will work just fine. As long you making sure you are selected the right drive letter.

  • @maxxikhmer bcoz my microSD inside got some file before i write in.. do i need to format it to any format before write the image or just write it?

  • @EnG2385 Format it first and do it. If you got files on the memory card it mays complain. I wiped mine before I do it.

  • @maxxikhmer format to Fat32 right? then write on it? thanks so much..

  • @EnG2385 Yes and just proceed. It's a warning and it's always over exagerate on the consequences but there is a small chance of curruption may occurred if you unsafely disconnected the N900 before the transfered is done. Just write it to memory card. The video did say just click Write and wait.

    Read the description

  • @maxxikhmer after that just restart phone? need take out battery? then run mmc right?

  • @EnG2385 Yes. restart and type "run mmcboot" take the battery out and put it back in and turn the power on. it should now boot to mmc.

You should have read the description area. Would have saved me from replying :)

  • @maxxikhmer wrong image format for bootm command, cant get kernel image?? soloution?

  • @EnG2385 Download the right image, it shouldn't be that hard.

  • @maxxikhmer writting to a physical device can corrupt the device? proceed or?

  • Hi Dear. It looks so cool on the Meego 1.199.0

I am a person who have knowledge about how to flash and reinstall the N900. Is that possible that you could provide a full step by step of reinstalling the Meego 1.1.99.0. I appreciate many thanks to you if you could.

    kind regards

    Pio

  • @pio009 To reinstalling meeGo 1.1.99 all you need to do is download the image and extract it. This tutorial works with reinstalling and installing. Well it's totally the same. So just do as the tutorial said and you're done.

  • And btw, thanks for this tutorial, the one i did found at forum, it was so hard to understand, and with this... it take about five minutes to get that done. So thank you!

  • not work for me.. i did everything u did.. when i reboot it, the penguin comes up shows writing ,than gives me two choices maemo flash and somethin power, nothin abt meego. toke the batter out and still nothing changed. can u help please

  • @hhmah

Did you image the file .raw file to the memory card? it's has to be 2gb or higher. When you reboot type : run mmcboot

then take the battery out and put it back in and reboot. it should boot into MMC. Read the description

  • @maxxikhmer

i did everythin, u said "You'll see error to boot, take the battery out and put it back in and boot the N900 up and it will boot to memory card." i didn't see any errors. after i image the file.raw to the memory card, i went to the app manager and downloaded " Enhanced linux kernel for power user" than did reboot, the pinguin cam up with writing, than i saw them two choices Maemo 5 (internal flash) and Power off (when not on charger), that the only two thing that cam up..

  • @hhmah Here is one of your problem.

"Enhanced linux kernel for power user", if you intall Uboot-pr13 then it won't work with Enhanced linux kernel for power user, unless you install the custom kernel version.

There shouldn't be only just two choice. There are like 4 choice or 5 on the list. One of them is "run mmcboot", and "run noloboot"

Otherwise you've done it wrong. This tutorial is not for Enhanced linux kernel for power user. It's for stock kernel user.

  • @maxxikhmer but, there is:

U-boot for kernel-power v46, if you had installed custom Enhanced Linux kernel for power users and it works like a charm in my N900 :) No problems with writing that image on microsd card, and i did use MeeGo 1.1.99.1 RC2. if you cant get it to work, just wait for 27 of april ;) when it comes at OTA update.

  • Thanks finally got it to work it was hectic had to remove multiboot along with nitdroid and kernel power since i had triple boot with omapli too. ty for the video

  • so i have kernel power and gingerbread installed and i have multiboot. how can i remove gingerbread and multiboot so i can install uboot?

  • Comment removed

  • @ClubPossessoriN900 I'm waiting 27 of April ;)
