can these birds become domesticated? they look really troubled, yet peaceful, they almost look like a cat. I can't remember how many miles they can see? there tenacles "are very strong? eh? cool 5*'s!

But it is a bit frightening there, yes? Because every animal there will kill you for sport or for food before you even see it.

Tawny frogmouths tend to protect themselves by looking like a lump of old wood. They tend not to move until you're right on top of them. Hard to tell when they're scared though - I once got within a metre of one sitting on a bike rack during a night-time soccer match, then it noticed me, looked about for a few seconds more then flew away.
