  • i really love this video! its a really safe recipe and I can tell u love your little doggies :)

  • Your recipe seems really balanced. For the puppy that doesn't handle grains well, try brown rice instead of white, as its much more nutritious and full of B vitamins. Another good grain option for that one is quinoa, which in itself has a lot of protein and good nutrients.

  • Great video. Full of info. You answered every question I had. Thanks

  • nice video! just wondering why bother cracking the eggs before putting them in the food processor? lol :)

  • Our house dog refuses to eat her dog food unless she forced too. She would rather eat grass and puke then to eat the dog food we buy at walmart. She loves our scraps from the table but I do worry about a vitamin deficiency. She will not eat eggs. We waste our money on buying dog food because she is spoiled to the better human food. I am going to have to learn how to make her dog food so we can all be happy.

  • Dogs need Raw bones to have clean white teeth

  • Just put your dogs on the Prey diet!!! 80% raw meat 10% raw Organs 10% raw bones. Dogs don't need all this. they are designed by nature to eat raw meat.

  • great video u kno the more i read on different sites on the internet it is actually #1 on the dog food list to jus make ur own dog food? i have a 10 yr old chihuahua that never *never* ate dog food n ive had him the whole 10 yrs, n i alway thought to my self, he isnt gonna be healthy when he is older for eating this, but u kno wut, i was wrong.. he has always seemed healthy or even healthier then my boxers that eat dry dog food :) i kno now to keep making my own balanced dog food, u shud too :)

  • im having sound problems just after the intro music it switches over to like chipmunk sounds instead of voice >>

  • I've read and watched so many things online about making homemade dogfood, and stumbled across your video. Thank goodness lol. you definitely are the best yet!!!!! I really liked that you said how much your dogs weigh and how much you give, and how long it lasts. Really awesome pet owner!!! I have those ingredients written down. If you still do this let me know how it turned out please. Thank you Cheers :o)

  • wow that is so cool. it's just like feeding kids!! can't wait to try this.

  • HOnestly of so many youtube videos I have watched, yours made the most sense, was easiest to follow, the most basic, just one of the best! Thanks tons. Too that's good for people to eat. Maybe not tons but protein is good. Your dogs eat better than I do. You do love them!

  • @Ritercrazy I completely agree!!!!! I was getting so overwhelmed with all the info I was reading or lack there of lol. Definitely one of the best : )

  • @nicolecampbelll Sometimes it is because it's done professionally that it gets confusing. With Fuzziebutter, I can now make anything, of this type of food, cuz I understand the very basics. I might need recipes for treats so I have proportions right, but Fuzziebutter just did it right for me. Am so glad this helped you too!

  • @Ritercrazy I actually used all the same items today instead of liver though, I used roast because I already had one in the house lol. And my little fussy critter LOVED IT!!!!! :D Thanks again :)))

  • @nicolecampbelll Oh and another thing. Fuzziebutter doesn't have me cutting up meat and slicing and dicing, and pureeing, and everything. 'Just dump it in!' hehehhe. It's how I cook for my family, why not 'no frills' for my dog and help me be happier too?

  • Aaaawesome and SO simple!!!!! I'm doin it for my Dobe and chihuahua!!! As for the ppl who say dogs don't need grains and veggies... PLZ think of what would be inside the stomach of a wolves's pray... And THEN reconsider your opinion. Bones meat and veggies... And cooking doesn't get rid of the nutrients... Besides domesticated dogs differ from wild canines when it comes to digestion

  • too much liver imo

  • Thank you for giving me another recipe that I hadn't thought of....don't you feel so wonderful watching your dogs eat your lovingly prepared food? I have been cooking for my dog for about a year and it shows, she is so shiny and healthy and slim. My vet is very happy!

  • how long would it feed one 45 pound dog and one 10 pound dog

  • when is the last time you saw a wolf eating a carrot, or a bowl of oatmeal... carnivores are not meant to eat veggies or grains... and when you cook everything to death like that all the nutrients are gone... you might as well feed them cardboard.

  • @ruthannagail shes not a proffessional as she mentioned besdes ths is way better than the store bought canned and dry stuff

  • i would eat that, IT LOOKS GOOD!!!

  • thanks i have 3 minpins andi think they will love that,, it hurt me every time i have to feed them that nasty can cacca,,so now im cooking their food. anything better than can or dry food.. thanks from tampa florida.

  • Why don't you try a raw diet?

    That's even better.

But still this is better than canned food or kibble, that's for sure!

  • Thank you!

  • Now you have me convinced. I'm going to start making my own dog food for my dog. Thanks for the tips! God bless you always.

  • Excellent video on how to make homemade dog food. I was looking for a great one to showcase on my squidoo page and finally found it! Thanks so much!

  • lol my dog does the same thing your dogs do. whenever he sees me pick up a pan he just sits their and watches my every move. i also make my dog home made meals. i dont trust premium dog foods anymore they dont care about peoples pets, all they care about is the money. thanks for the recipe, ima give it a try :)

  • GRAIN FREE! trust me...wolfs and dogs are not meant to be having grains

  • My gosh, that sure looks delicious :-) thanks for sharing!

  • Great vid! r u still feeding it? ever consider a raw diet? its cheap too

  • That's what I'm talking about! An awesome, no bullshit video.

  • great video im gonna start making my own..if ya want check out my funny dog cooking show on my channel.take care

  • Great video! (smile)

I really like watching your fan club watching you cook! LOL

I just started cooking for my dogs and they love it! (smile)

  • Thank you very much for your post.

  • and also, how much oats or white rice do we put in the mixture?

  • Sorry, I meant, how long will it last in the refrigerator?

  • i like the idea and would like to try homemade dog food. Do you put the remainder in the refrigerator? If so how will it last in the refrigerator?

  • hi there! not the one that posted this video but i can answer your question for you you can make enough for three days and safely refrigerate it will keep longer in the freezer (about a week) but if you want to buy in bulk to save money you can always store the uncooked ingredients longer but once its been cooked it wont keep for very long and make sure you thaw out any you leave in the freezer overnight in the fridge before feeding

  • i would like to know how much of this home made for my dog i give to my dog if she is 8 kilo for a day

  • awwh look at all of them staring at the food ..we give our dog boiled eggs and she loves them !

  • Thank you so much for taking the time to make the video, my little dog (hot dog dog) isn't very fond of his dogfood, and wants people food and this looks like the best way to give it to him. and much healthier and those additives that they put in dogfood. Thanks again. :-)

  • Awesome, thank you so much!!! I've been looking around online and on youtube for homemade food info and this has been the best help by far!! Thank you so much!

  • Thank you for posting this great video; I would recommend, More protein, and grains and starches and Iw ould certainly feed them raw and not cooked..and of course NO SUGAR..Blessings

  • great video thanks alot!!!!

  • This is the best recipie for dogs on youtube. I really liked it. Im thinking that I could it. the dogs do look healthy. :) love your work

  • cute dogs!the recipes really good

  • great advice . thank you. your four poochies just can not stand the wait eh. i have a 13 yr old pom and she's lost intrest in all the store bought dog food now. so i think i'm going to try some of these recipies.

  • Hi there ! First of all - fabulous dogs. So sweet and easy to be with arent they? Excellent video. I appreciate your sharing this with us. Wondering, now that you have the amounts down pat - perhaps you could mix the raw eggs into the chicken livers when they are nearly done & allow them to cook together? It would save you the extra step & the extra pot? Just an idea... Thanks again for sharing & inspiring. All the best to you and your wonderful bundle of joy.

  • Good for you. Keep reading on the subject. I use a 70%/20%/10% mix of meat, veggie/fruit, carb. Hope you didn't revert back to bag food.

  • Awesome video, its so beautiful to see a dog owner doing such a loving thing for her best friends! Your inspiring and thank you for showing us how easy it can be!

  • Thank you for sharing, you made it so easy. You have great dogs too by the way very well behaved. I am going to try this for my own doggie.

Thank again, Have a wonderful day!

    Laura

  • Good job. As I've also discovered, making chow isn't rocket science (although the pet food industry wants owners to think this). The key is in remembering dogs are dogs and while most human foods can be used, they need a dog-proportioned diet.

I've made my own dog food for 2 years and my mutt is absolutely thriving. His coat is extraordinarily shiny and he has lots of energy. He rarely scratches nor gnaws himself. His stools are regular and consistent. A big improvement over expensive kibbles.

  • im not too sure ....

  • Eliminate the oats entirely. Use potatoes - skins and all instead. Also, the healthiest dogs I have ever owned or seen eat raw meat and eggs. No need to cook it. Their natural diet is raw meat. Have you ever seen a wolf barbequeing it's prey? You are using too mch organ meat. That much is not good for them. I like your idea of using egg shells. I hadn't thought of that.

  • I would eliminate the grain. Grain is not a part of a dogs natural diet. It's filler. But at least oats is better than corn. I don't know why you would only feed them this "temporarily." Maybe you meant to say that you alterate this with commercial food. My son is a veterinarian. Remember, pet food companies give vet schools tons of money and they brainwash vet students. The most advertised brands of commercial food (Benefil, Iams, Eukinuba, etc.) are total crap. They are the worst.

  • I like the cook's attitude as well as the recipe. Thanks so much. What, if any, vitamins do you give your dogs?

  • I have been doing this sort of diet for my dog since she was a pup, and she loves and and the vet says she looks great. I mix up the meat weekly (chicken liver, ground turkey, ground beef, etc....)I make it all in the weekend and then refrigerate it till we needed. I totally recommend the 5 extra minutes for your dogs health.

  • Very good!

But I would cut down on the meat to %20

and no eggs, don't want clogged arteries.

  • That's sweet. I'm sure your pets really appreciate that.

  • geez that's just too much trouble. i don't even have enough time to make my own food. just get a high quality premium dog food like evo or something

  • Since domesticated dogs have been around for many thousands of years, and vets have only been hawking dog food for about 80 or so, I dont plan on ever going back to that canned/dry junk-- Are these the same nutritionalists who have overseen the "epidemic of obesity" in America? I think the "exact balance" the VETs are talking about belong to their CHECKBOOKS! lol!
