so from what you are describeing, do you think they are Ebay Exausts? If so, I guess I cant go wrong with them then :D Im also kind of supprised that he used a "glasspack" Rotaries generaly melt them from what ive read...
agian, great looking and sounding FC, if you decide to rid yourself of the exaust, leme know and ill take it off your hands
oh, hi MrFC3S, yes I'm the same Ultrataco as on the RX7club. I don't know what brand the mufflers are but they sound pretty good. I have also heard that glasspacks melt on rotaries, so whatever is on my car is either a melted glass pack or something else (pre-silencer maybe?). I don't know. I'm pretty sure I don't need whatever it is, so I'll probably replace it with a straight pipe someday.
It actually needs a repaint. It has lots of little chips, scratches, etc and a few small rust spots
The guy I bought it from said the mufflers are A'pexi, but they don't say anything on them, so i'm not sure.
It has a custom header going to what I think is a glass pack or silencer of some kind (which I'd like to eliminate eventually) just ahead of the y-pipe and mufflers, and no cats, so it's a pretty straight exhaust. I kinda wonder why he went to the trouble of getting a custom header, etc. made without making it a true dual exhaust, which is what I would have done. :)
It's not a true dual. I wish it was. The header is two pipes off the block which merge into one for the glasspack (or whatever that thing is) then that splits into two pipes which go to the mufflers. If I had done the exhaust, I would hve gone true dual.
but, i mean what's the point? that'd be like going quad pipes on a 4 cyl? plus, where's the room for a true dual? they only ran the dual mufflers to control exhaust noise, that's why there's a splitter pipe feeding into the dual mufflers. and its probably not a glass pack, the 2nd gens just had that one long thin CAT before splitting into each muffler. but if you're looking for more power, just run a 3" exhaust with no CAT, it's gonna be wicked loud tho.
you need to lower your car, if you havent done so sir

true dual? you mean 2 seperate pipes coming off the block? or the fact they used those 2 mufflers out back in stock form? cuz they fed off one pipe.
