interesting idea, however, i think the last show should be between 2 contestants, and each of them perform 2 songs each. then the audience can vote which song is best. that way the competition can stay throughout the end, rather than someone watching one person they already know wins. just an idea, but good luck with it.

preliminary means, whatsoever the outcome, no one is eliminated...as in pre (before) liminary (eliminated).
