  • My Grandmother's Version (and still the best). 2 Cups white granulated Sugar 1/2 Cup Water 1 Cup DARK Karo Syrup 2&1/2 Cup SPANISH peanuts (or really any nut) 1/4 Tsp salt 1/2 Tblspn Butter 1&1/2 Tsp Baking Soda 1 tsp Vanilla In a Sauce pan cook Sugar,Water, Karo until 230 Degrees Add Nuts, Salt, Butter. Cook until 300 Immediately take off heat, add Soda and Vanilla (it will bubble) - Stir, Stir , Stir! Pour onto greased cookie sheet. Let cool, break with handle of a knife.
  • 1 and a half cups of peanuts, sugar, light syrup and water.

  • Completely useless without the measurements.
