I may have to give this another try. I think a cool idea for the next game woulde be flying against an alien invasion ala Independence Day. Fly tricked out jets with lasers and tactical nukes. That would be sweet!

I don`t get why people are complaining about AC:AH`s changes to Ace combat. I mean they had to change something or else only fans of the game would have bought it. They were trying to bring in new fans to Ace Combat with something new and innovative. DFM Is a great addition to the Ace Combat series. I have played every Ace Combat ever made And THIS one may not have the best story BUT it has the best gameplay. So remember this one was made for EVERYONE not just fans.

@ElWolf70 I agree with you, and I think AH is an amazing game. The gameplay is great, However, many fans miss things like Osea, Yuktobania, The Arkbird, The Falken, Mobius 1, The Demons of Razgriz, etc. And these things can only happen in a fictional universe.

Quite bluntly, I abhorred this game. Amazing OST, but it felt more like a Japanese games designer snatched the joypad off me in the middle of every mission and said "you wan pray game? I pray game for you fuckin white man. You watch! Plane only blow up when I say, not when you shoot it." AC6 wasn't perfect, nor was 5 or 4.... but this was 3 steps back for every 1 forward. Wannabie COD

@tkhushrenada i agree i hate the QTE and it sucks no matter how much of a ace you are from 4-Zero it is almost impossible to shoot down a enemy plane let alone a enemy ace without going to QTE mode. :/

ACAH was/is great but I miss the setting from the previous games(the fictional world, unrealistic over the top super structures/weapons/flying fortresses etc)

Not many video games can beat the feeling you get when you try the last mission in ac4 for the first time(love flying through tunnels)

Air Combat, AC2, AC3, AC4, AC5 and ACZ were all brilliant games... But what the fuck the formula lost it's effect! Just look how AC6 turned out! You love those games? Go play em'! You can do that! They're like 5 euros on Ebay if you don't own them! Let Ace Combat take new directions, and the DFM mode is awesome but it's too central to the gameplay, it should be a bit more optional/situational. Though online is where the game shines.

@Shurryy I don't feel like AC6 followed the same formula as the other games at all. It had the same basic setting but had things that detracted from the feel of the other games. Mobius 1 never lost an engagement like the first mission of AC6, and Blaze would never let groups of ground forces get wiped out like what happened all the time in AC6. I wish I still had copies of AC3 and Zero to have references there but I think you get my point.

Oh so are you trying to tell me that AC6 had revolutionary differences to their AC6 that was different from AC5/Zero? Except from the over-g turn, less planes to choose from, and less missions + the usual annoying characters (Dance with the angels?), it was the same standard gameplay formula. Lock-On, fire missiles MILES away and watch the opponent get blown up in the distance. IT GOT OLD. Good think they changed it, at least till AC7.

@Shurryy No, the changes weren't revolutionary. But what they did change they probably shouldn't have. They made every mision 20+ minutes with an add-on objective at the end and I think they tried to combine the story from AC4 with animation from AC5 and it failed horribly in AC6.
