It really depends on what you're used to with spice to if you consider the volcano menu hot. I didn't think there was much heat at all in any of these items when they came out a couple of years ago, but they taste decent. I've heard the lava sauce is around 800 scoville units, whereas a typical jalapeno is 2500-5000 scoville units.

If you eat a lot of spicy food you will find no kick in this volcano taco, it's commercially hot which usually means it's not spicy at all.

i eat the volcano menu all the time and i find the nachos to be sub par mainly because the chips get soggy very quickly. this is true for most nachos at taco bell. The volcano burrito is far and away the best.

I remember having a Volcano Burrito. For some reason the sauce was all the way at the bottom. When I first started eating it, I got mad because it wasn't spicy enough. So I insulted it by saying "You call yourself a Volcano Burrito!" Then it got me when took the final bites and I was chugging Mountain Dew like crazy.

I LOVE Taco Bell. It is by far my mostest favorite restaurant in the world. I'm a software engineer of 6 years, of which I get paid pretty good money, but I work at Taco Bell part-time because we get to eat free! The Volcano Menu is the best thing Taco Bell has ever created. My favorite is the Volcano Burrito (and ask for extra lava sauce, only adds like 50 cents).
