Thanks jspider27393, when you say "lots of things wrong" = different? because that was the intend... and this was 100% improv....I know I'm not playing all of the chords in this song LOL but again that was the intend :)
Very very good, man! I'm still trying to learn that really fast stuff on the 12th fret in the beginning of the song. Did you pick it up off the record yourself?
for the beginning with the palm muting it sounds like your playing some chords and it sound really awesome dude, im still trying to figure it out on my guitar as we speak, really nice playing man, what kind of guitar and amp/ anything else you have set up? and effects your using, if you dont mind me asking of course.
@zergrrr thank you for your comment...is a simple set up: a practice amp cube 30 (roland) a wha pedal (dunlop Hendrix) and my #1 guitar...les paul Standard Honey burst faded
I am learning this song at the moment but also dont have a wah paddle just yet, do u just use it for the intro or can u use the pedal pretty much whenever during this
You know I was in a guitar store once (long time ago) and I saw this dude playing this song and I kind had the same problem (no wah) but I went home and pretended that I had one...just jam man you'll get your pedal sooner then later but still learn the song now.....keep rocking!!!!
@zeppelin1996@luzsounds I think we all have had this problem this is the only reason i bought wah but what seemed to help me out is using alot more vibrato but more of a smooth and not so violent vibrato i don't know how much that helped will help you but i tried.
@zeppelin1996 If your thinking about getting a wah i had difficulty choosing one, everyone kept telling me to buy the vox cry baby but my guitar teacher who has pictures on his wall with famous people said to get the bad horsie. I have played both and if you can get the stevie ray vaughan tone from other effect pedals or your amp the bad horsie wah is alot better in my opinion.
fender american strat is way better than the les pauls out today. If you could only play a pre 80's lp and a lp out now you would see how crappy they have been making them lately. I mean they aren't bad but compared to the quality of older models. Its crap. Les Paul went for profit over perfection.American Fender > 1980+ LP.
Thank you for your comment.....if you pick up a guitar fender, les pual, ibanez etc if it sounds good and feels good (for you) get it ,I played Gibson, Epiphones, Peaveys, ibanez, Fender etc and I did that : feel, hear and buy ...it could be 500 or 3000 dollars guitar... is what sounds good to you
awsome playing great job! CAn i just ask..what wah are u using? I have a jim dunlop gcb-95 and was wondering whether that would be good to use. Also in your solos what kind of scales are u using? Cos when jamming i can only ever improvise on the position 1 minor pentatonic scale..thanks
you said slash the Solo's!?! (HAHA) I'm honored to be compared to Mr Slash....my intention is not to copy anyone here ...I;m just jamming...thank you for your comment
Nice guitar, nice cover, awesome style, good work man. I have a very similar guitar but you got me beat with the faded 50's neck. looks super comfortable.
I have played this song in many different settings, bands and different guitars my intention is not to copy anybody here (because is all improv) but If I sound like Mr Wylde...that was an accident...HAHA
hi again this is totally awesome ,what backing u using, you can make that guitar rock just like the king MR HENDRIX>for a beginner how long wud it take to play like u or nearly like u.
these songs I learned when I was in my early teens and every time that I play them they sound different. I always say that is your interpretation that makes thing unique ofcourse practice make a lot of it, but is your own unique style that will make the difference.
