Disgaea's actually a fun game guys, the only thing that made it sad was the main characters become useless after you beat the main story, if you plan on going into the 800 hours worth of gameplay content, you're kinda forced to recruit people ;[.
Also all the cool things like, jumping onto teammates to do crazy attacks, becomes useless mid-game T_T.

@Th3Riddlebox everything began when i saw Disgaea trailer as a kid and went to the store to find they only had LaPucelle. I picked it up and the rest is history. I enjoy the games more now that im older. Traded Naruto1 on the ps3 for it. I logged in maybe 200 hours. Best game deal ive made. Gonna blow all my money on the DLC.

Well i mean.. when you look at it they actually did upgrade the looks a bit. I've never played Disgaea 3 yet so I can't comment on it, but when you look at this game compared to disgaea 1 and 2, they really did make a vast improvement when it comes to visuals (and a couple of new things like magichange doesn't hurt either lol)
@narutokl5 It doesn't suit me well to fight in such a gentlemanly manner. I prefer games with heavier non-turn based action, and lots of maneuverability in environments, like a common beat em up or platformer. Regardless, this game is still fun to follow, but to ME its not very fun to play as games such as (and I'm choosing at random here) Darksiders Wrath of war or Shadow of the colossus.

When is Atlus gonna stop making this Ps2 game and putting it out for full prince on the Ps3, When i hear about this I was momentarily hopeful they would finally up date the graphics, goes to show you never get your hopes up for anything.

@finalefate From what i can tell from this trailer the graphics could have easily been on the ps2 or even the ps1 (final fantasy tactics is a good example of that). I don't mind the sprits themselves i think its part of the feel and style of the series. But the environments and the animations are failing horribly to take advantage of the power of the ps3. There's no reason why the gameplay doesn't look just as good as the animated scenes (Valkyra Chronicles is another great example).

@09Trixstar Yes, its definitely worth playing the rest of the series. The characters are still fun, and you do still get to see the original triple of Laharl, Etna, and Flonne as cameos in each game.
@09Trixstar Laharl and Etna are still a big part of the second one. Flonne is in the second one two, but it is a tedious process trying to find her. cause she's not in the main story. about the third...i know Laharl is in it, but i have yet to beat it, so i don't know about Etna or Flonne. I liked the second one, alot. and the third one is really good too.
The fact that Axel is still in the game instantly makes this playable....though I only say this because Now, I have someone to beat one when I'm angry

Twilight is bad, yes. Twilight provoking good writers and developers to create vampires that are actually good at being vampires? Nah, I would say that's a good thing rather than bad. Now if only more writers would use the Bram Stoker kind of vampire... Though a Bram Stoker vampire in the Disgaea world... um... just being in that universe would eventually lead to it getting so much power anyways that it wouldn't matter.

I haven't seen a Disgaea trailer that I didn't love..and I definitly love this trailer,I can't wait to see what this badazz game has in store,Im interested to see Valbatoze in action..aswell as others...this excitement is overwhelming ^-^

I just realised something... Did they have the character Fuka planned out since Disgaea 3? I'm pretty sure in D3 the description for the item Prinny suit is: 'Would look cute on a young girl.' Or something like that.

Twilight is bad, yes. Twilight provoking good writers and developers to create vampires that are actually good at being vampires? Nah, I would say that's a good thing rather than bad. Now if only more writers would use the Bram Stoker kind of vampire... Though a Bram Stoker vampire in the Disgaea world... um... just being in that universe would eventually lead to it getting so much power anyways that it wouldn't matter.

Wy is it that every time I play a Disgaea related game its messd up and confusing. Look at the anime one episode there white something and the next episode has nothing to do git the story. Anywhay I LOVE DISGAEA!!!

omg, duel wielding? giant monsters? insane tower attacks! So glad this is coming out, Disgaea is practically the only good JRPG on the PS3 right now. Still waiting for Tales of Vesperia... putting it out on xbox what were they thinking...

I really never liked the elements [pretty much everything about] jrpgs, but ever since i got disgaea 3 a couple years ago i've been hooked, it looks pretty good, and they actually enhanced the sprite work xD

@TheGreatSchmoo I loved the 2nd, my adell was level 700 when my file got corrupted, my faviourite chara wouldve been my angel, was reincarnated a stupid amount of times, got it to level 70 and it was killing level 900s xD
