@xZoraDude yup. its what i use in melee when im using someone whos taunt sucks or is too long :D also its cool if you wanna be unpredictable. you can long jump to an aerial, dash attack or you can CC a smash attack after dash dancing

@mtw9000 because of past pro players of melee the dash dance was only super useful for shiek and marth but for others its good too, the use of the dash dance is to use and attack that could connect the JC move and the shield grabbing/shield up b move. to know more about the melee techniques type in how to play advanced melee or something of the sort lol

Brawl Dash dance sucks because it doesn't go far enough to either side. Even if they face you out as to which direction they are going to run, it doesn't matter because they start at practically the same distance either way, so its as if they didn't dash dance at all.

Also, there's tripping. Tripping sucks

a quick example: your opponent short hops and attacks.

when dashdancing you can dash back than again forward to punish his tattack.

No. Just no. You get no distance from it, this is 100% useless. In melee the frames where you could cancle a dash with another dash was MUCH longer, so dash dancing was useful. In brawl, theres like a few frames where you can cancle a dash with another dash, that's it. The closest thing you can get to dash dancing is fox trotting to one side, then after the animation is completely over foxtrot to the other side and repeat as necessary.
