I finally heard this song IN THE GAME... Not in Yughott Grotto, but in the cutscene for the quest "Gullible's Travels" (start npc: Magriffon - Kazham [I-7]). I was just playing the other day and talked to the npc, got a cutscene, and was so surprised (and pleased) to hear this song playing. Maybe I should rename it, huh? :/

Thats funny, I don't go there much but I was thinking, I dont remember a song in the grotto. While I appreciate the ambience of some areas not having songs, I think its a shame.

Where exactly does this play? I've zoned through Yughott a few times and didn't hear it. Is it only really deep in?

I'm not sure if or where it is heard in the game. The song is called Yughott Grotto, but you are right: it doesn't seem to play in there. Maybe they made the song for Yughott Grotto, but later decided to use it somewhere else. Someone said that it is used in some of the cutscenes.

no its an exact mirror image. cameras and stuff have a mode or possibly an error to reflect an exact mirror image. look at the bed and that bookshelf. and notice shes using the exact same guitar. not that im hating on her, im definately impressed with her skills. i still say the video is a mirror image.

Yughott Grotto has background music? I think you're mixing it up with another zone I coulda swore the grotto has no background music. Good job regardless.

The song is from the pc ffxi music file music104.bgw. POLUtil marks it as "Yughott Grotto", but you're right, there doesn't seem to be any background music in that area, so I don't know where (or if) the song is used at all in the game. If they don't use it, it's a shame, because the song is quite beautiful. If I find out more, I'll post it here. Thank you so much for pointing this out (and for the compliment!) ^^
