You'd think at the 100 Kilobuck and up price level that all these statement speakers would sound more or less alike but NOPE, they all sound completely different.

I'd rather listen to Quad 2809 electrostats (at only $12k) any day over Wilson, Kef, JMLabs $100k+ vanity products.

Quads are still one of the most neutral, transparent, life-like speakers on the planet. The 2809 moves the speaker art up to a new level.

yes, 140.000 but that does not necessarily mean that these are good performers for the price... the Gryphon Poseidon have to be way better speakers (same price)

popular brands have nice design but suck in audio quality (popular speakers carry a big list of unique technologies which makes them sound better theoretically but not practically). another example: the focal utopia grande (worth 80.000) are clearly worse than Audio Spectrum Hermes (worth 8.000 !!!)

I've heard these KEF Muon speakers at their launch event in a hotel function room. Not the best room acoustics, I admit, but the speakers are not at the level of what you expect at $150,000. Not when you can buy a pair of Wilson Audio Alexandria X-2's for marginally less.
