Ok. Apparently you need 23 thousand miles of very strong cable, a vehicle to climb the cable, and a way to power that vehicle, but has anybody considered what is going to hold the cable up? You know, to counteract that pesky gravitational pull of the weight of the cable and the pull of the vehicle. 23 thousand miles is a pretty large orbit: about 10% of the way to the moon! not quite close enough if you were planning on tethering it there! WTF?
duh, maybe tie it to a big rock?
