I wish they wouldnt edit the part where he is witnessing and says 'He didnt die for you' because that kinda makes him sound ... wrong? because Christ DID die for all of us if we will just receive Him. And I think that guy probably explained it but they way they edited it it just doesn't sound right and to me sounds kinda ugly.
this church does look awesome, spirit filled, and real. I would love to go some Sunday morning.
but one thing about this video really worries me...
When the guy says "ITS NOT FREE!" when talking about Christ's death for us.. And frankly.. Salvation through Christ is a free gift and its rooted in the foundation of the bible and repeated countlessly by the apostles.
Does anyone know what theology they teach?? are they reformed?? or something way out there and not rooted in the bible???
If you heard him correctly, he said "Just because you're here doesn't mean you're going to heaven. Just because Jesus died doesn't mean he died for you."
In the context of his conversation with these bystanders, I believe he was confronting the flippant attitude of most people today towards Christianity that everyone's "Christian" and going to heaven when in reality, everyone is deserving hell until we personally confess Jesus as Lord and Savior and believe he died for us (Ro 10:9)
Then, it's our mandate as true Christians to follow His Word and follow His commands. Having said that, there's a price to pay or in his words, "IT'S NOT FREE."
Being a true Christian entails giving up our sin and try to live righteous to follow Him and work out our salvation.
I assume that's what he was inferring by those statements.
I've been to this church and they are definitely spirit filled, preach the Word of God and love Jesus with all their hearts. You should visit sometime.
when he says "jesus didnt die for you", he means it. jesus died for his father. ive spoken to the man because i was so freaked out by that i was like are u kidding me? lol
When you become a christian you are giving up your pride, your own ambitions, your selfish world view, etc. to follow Christ and live in a more fulfilling way. Christianity is a free gift, but itll cost you your life. Its so worth it though.
it is not free. God paid the price for our salvation. You don't called things paid for free. You call them paid for. Also God requires us to devote our entire life to Him to be saved. There can be no strings attached. In what way is salvation free?
he who has the Son has life, he who has not the Son does not have life....

Its freely given by Christ. We ourselves dont earn it. thats called religion and legalism.
Obviously it was NOT free for Christ to save us. HE paid our price when we dont deserve it.
Know what I mean now?
