I really think that this is brilliant music...It's like Final Fantasy, Prokofiev (as someone else remarked), and Bach combined.
I do think this would sound about 10 times better if it was played by real players. Do you have a real recording of this? If not, you should make one! I'd buy it.
This composition bears the mark of an exciting and brilliant new composer. My only complaint is that, as others have remarked, it sounds like incidental music for a video game. Perhaps my perspective would change if real musicians played this.
@zeryx28 This is probably too late to matter, but I disagree. That part with the clarinet is far from impossible to play. I could play it with maybe a couple of days to a week of practice just by building up the muscle memory, if not actually playing it outright.
Besides sounding like something out of the FFT series (Sakimoto influences?) There are some interesting chromatic sections. Again, your influences are writing your music for you. It's not necessarily bad at first, but you should at least be conscious of it.
Yeah, it's difficult to play fast at first. I tried it at the piano, and I needed to play it at maybe 50% tempo haha. I feel the piano part is idiomatic enough though. With practice I should be able to get it closer to tempo. :)
@ch252525 They're not impossible, I'm an oboist/clarinetist and I can play that.

Excellent! I really enjoyed it!

@ch252525 I don't really see why. Though it's difficult and needs practice, it is far from being impossible.

I really like this music. Musically busy after listening to quiet slow evolving Feldman all day but this is interesting and shows real craft!

Wish you had commented sooner because I had just sent this piece into a writing competition a few weeks ago. :( Thanks though.
