Nice movie! How do you decide between hdfh and hdfx recording mode? I just got a Sony HDR cx550v and have iMovie 08 My goal is to get videos to YouTube at 1080p. Thanks much. I thought the HDFX mode was higher than the HDFH mode. Trying to figure this out. Thanks for any help.

@Minkais You must convert to wmv for movie maker. Movie maker doesn't do AVC format. Just get Sony Vegas

Yeah the overdrive does, but there is an art to playing with sub par tone and still kicking ass at guitar. the clean with slight break up was amazing though.

It says on the Sony site that this camera is not compatible with mac, but some people say that had it working in iMovie ... So can the Sony Handycam HDR-CX100 work with a mac ?

It does work with iMovie but otherwise on a mac its not really compatible but it does work when you can connect the memory stick to your mac too. The cameras hdd itself you cant get any compatible files off it unless you use iMovie.

no you can view the movies in iMovie too. if you wanted to watch in in anyother application you would have to export it first.
